Be very evasive. Re-position often

Try not to make it a yolowagon like me.

I have this misguided belief that the ru is so fast that everyone will miss.

Wrong.   lol.

Never stop moving. . .  unless you are absolutely 100% sure you are behind solid cover. . . . actually, since everyone who knows what they are doing will likely be shooting HE at you, soft cover should work too. . . but seriously. keep moving but don't yolo. . . and don't sprint out of cover while spotted at least not for long bits because auto aim will get you. it doesn't take a marksman to hit a speeding RU when kybd/mouse users can easily keep you in their sites with auto aim.

Also, experiment with your ammo. The HE round is surprisingly effective due to your ability to get behind the enemy. However, only load it when you know you have time to get the shot right. If you are CODing or something like that, keep AP loaded for more reliable pens.

This, spot early (do not fire when spotting), once red is spotted reposition and act as support (turning 1v1 to 2v1) and as a harasser from the flanks and behind

Abuse the HEP, the speed, and the low profile.

Also beware of the horrid gun depression over the back.

When spotting, turn before you can even see that you spotted anything. The three seconds, plus the reaction time, plus the time to turn around will get you derped.

Two vital skills:

Flanking

Knowing when to HESH

Being a good driver is simply par for the course, though the loadout is a bit limited for run and gun on a fire intensive battle.

Sometimes, you just gotta sit back and watch them all burn. Don't forget to bring popcorn. You're going to need a snack.

This is true, the RU needs a good driver and its skill cap is high. You all too commonly see players in the RU and the T49 that have horrible light tank stats at tier 5. Sure the tanks are different at tier 5, compared to tier 8. But if someone stinks with a light tank at tier 5, things will NOT get easier at tier 8. The light tank lines are pretty consistent of what they demand from the driver. The tier 5 Leo and the Vk.28.01 should teach a player the basics of what it takes to be successful in a light tank at higher tiers. But I guess too many give in to just zooming around having fun, being a yolo nub and exploding after one shot and 30 secs into battle.

Leo and the Vk28 play styles do not translate over to the RU. Complete mastery of the SP will translate over to the RU. Getting a golden M is meaningless. True mastery is when you can constantly lead your team to victory while bottom tier. Averaging over 1,7k dmg while surviving over 40% will make you play well enough in the RU.

The Ru is extremly good. Try to spot early inside of bushes and use your light tank camo. Then try to flank and pick off players one by one.

dont yolo of course unless there is one guy left or somthing. The armor on it is very poor, but that makes up for the highest speed in the game, so you need t be careful (yesterday i was coming down the big hill on the heavy side of rockfeilds, there was a lowe with like 300+ hp. I went off a little bump where the hill is and flew up right infornt of it shooting it and mid-air and ramming the last 75hp left from it, i had full hp and it went down to 700. thats how poor the armor is.)

but somthing else that comes with it is its gun, once maxed out, its a 4.9 sec reload, for about a 200 dmg.

and use your high HE pen to an advatage it can pen alot of things.

Yeah, I constantly make this mistake with high tier lights (T49 for example). Not only do I spot them, then I take a shot to annoy them before I try to turn around to run. By that time I have gotten hit for half my HP.

You have to be turned and ready to run ahead of time. Hopefully with some hard cover close by. Get your spot or take your quick shot over your side/rear, then high tail it fast.

Play the entire game, like you only have a sliver of health left.
