pz 5/4 is a fun little tank. rams like a beast. armor is meh on turret, great at the front. a little sluggish.

None of them, you are going to see Tier 6 quite a bit and they are all challenged against them.  Of them all the Excelsior is flat out the worst though, the pen is very bad on AP ...

skip both and get a tier 6 premium instead.

I ahve them all and they are all ok if you like tier 5. The t14 and excelsior are similar in that they have strong frontal armor and weak sides and slow aim times. I think the Excelsior is superior with it's 13 degree gun depression (compared to 10 on the t14). I don't remember cause I don't play tier 5 that often. . . . the Pz V/IV is different than the other two so get that one and one of the heavies.

Buy the Pz.Kpfw. IV Schmalturm , it's a very good tank and has Better DPM than all Tier 7's except for the following:

KV-2 (with the ZiS-6 gun)

ARL V39

Jagpanzer IV

Nashorn

Dicker Max

M36 Jackson

Churchill GC

Can’t recommend the Excelsior, but I have enjoyed the PZ V IV.

Correction (Blitz platform)... The excelsior has only 9 DEGREES gun depression... the T14 as 10 DEGREES. Also the excelsior only has 91 pen with AP rounds vs the T14s 106 pen, though using APCR the excelsior has 144 pen vs 127 pen on the T14. The excelsior even on a peekabooing over a hill will only give 120mm of front armor because of it's FLAT surfaces and 130mm angled... while the same on the T14 will have up to 185mm armor because of it's sloped armor. Same DPM on both tho. I'll take the T14 all day with my 65% win rate on it.
