I bought this tank when it first came out and have played it before and after the buff. It is complete trash! No armor, not enough HP, and the mobility is pathetic. It's traverse and reverse are atrocious. It has a top speed of 27 kph, which makes it slower than a lot of heavies. It is a complete rip-off by Wargaming. I want my money back!

Good advice, and thank you.

Not that I was going to break my over 2-year streak of being Free-to-Play, but someday something might make that change.  This is not that day.

Isn't the top speed 43km/h like the ISU-152?

Affirmative!

In fact, the power to weight ratio is better.

Maybe on "paper", but not in an actual game. You probably hit that speed going downhill with a wind at your back. If not its top speed, then its acceleration is trash, but either way the tank isn't worth anything in its current offering.

Agreed. The tank is completely powercreeped by the 152, and is crazy expensive.

thanks for the heads up! I am very interested in the ISU-130 and want to buy it and like it. But It is overpriced priced and seems to have too many smaller issues. Low pen, horrid gun arc, lacking mobility... exc I’m holding off although I love the 122S and this looks similar. Thanks for your thoughts on it!

Glad I could help. I love the 152 and 122s, which drove me to buy the 130. UGH!

Buying an ISU-130 and expecting it to be a pre-nerf T-54. The tank is prefect example of balancing. It fits the soviet td play style. It is not supposed to have armor because it is the ISU with a different gun. It isn't supposed to be fast, because again it is an ISU with a different gun. You are just getting an ISU with a different mechanic of having premium shells maximize dpm for less pen. Quit whining because you didn't do the research before buying a product. YOU as the consumer ARE AT FAULT NOT THE COMPANY. And it is your fault for expecting everything to be overpowered on a silver platter for you to purchase.

Have you actually played this tank? Looking at Blitzstars, the answer to that is no (https://www.blitzsta.../com/Morphman11). You only have 16 battles all at tier 2 or lower. So, not so fast on the consumer fault finger pointing. I am just letting the community know that this tank is not competitive at its tier as it currently exists within the game.

I completely understand "balance" as you call it, but let's put a few things into perspective. First, the ISU-122s is a tier lower, has higher power to weight ratio (i.e., better mobility), a better aim time, and only 10 HP less than the ISU-130. Second, the ISU-152 is a tech tree tank, so it should be better. The 152 has better mobility and 640 alpha. The last is very important, because a red pushing a 152 is going to respect the alpha.

In terms of the premium shells, I load these at the start of the battle and carry more of them then standard AP.

Honestly I think the ISU 130 is ideal from a balance perspective, but the existence of the ISU 152 and WZ 120 FT make it useless.

I agree with you in that the ISU-152 and WZ-120-FT make the 130 useless. I don't think it is balanced in terms of mobility and when keeping the ISU-122s in mind.
