My first new tank in forever.  Tier 8 battles arent too bad, but if I get uptiered, I'm useless.  The pen is horrible, especially against heavy tanks.  It's not mobile enough to help much, either.  I've started playing it at range and run supercharged shells to help with pen.   I'm averaging only 1300 damage and really struggle to help my teams.  Any suggestions?

It was buffed not too long ago. It’s actually better than before. Platoon with that tank, best chance. Forget about penning the new VK.

HEAT pen is really good, so use that when you struggle to penetrate.

I like this tank post buff and went back to raise the win rate from 46% when introduced to 50% over 40 games.

Its a second line medium, played hull down it bounces shots moving back and forth.

It is truly a “circle the distracted tank,” auto loader that jumps in a 1v1 to make it 2v1, shave 600 HP off an engaged tank, then relocate to cover so the 1v1 can finish the target off.

At at the end of a match it can mop up 3 low HP targets in 6 seconds.

Its unique with a common 90mm gun but with turret armor that the AMX 13 90 lacks. I kept in it in my garage.

Tier 10's: FV 183, T110E3, T110E4, T110E5, T57, M48, IS-4, IS-7, T-62a, Obj 140, Grille, BätChät

There is only one TD and 183 is her name.

I drive Joseph Stallon (IS) tanks for the win.

pick another medium on your team and be the wing man. Like what someguyfromPitt says, tipping the balance in a 1v1 brawl is a very effective use of any autoloader.

If it plays anything like the T54E1, then you'll want a wing-man or at least play as a mobile flank support gun. Never got around to grinding that side of the branch, but I'll get it eventually. Anyways, pay attention to the clip, don't be afraid to reload mid-clip as needed, and try not to be singled out and isolated. These types of tanks are not solo tanks by nature. They typically need to be used as a support to show their strengths. Other than that, try to go for kills when you see a red whose health is within two shots of your clip since you'll likely scratch or miss one of 3 shots. When you can, harry the reds by perma-tracking them. You can get one exposed for 5-10-15 seconds depending on repair kits, rng, and how well you can shoot.

Sometimes, you just gotta sit back and watch them all burn. Don't forget to bring popcorn. You're going to need a snack.

I'm also grinding thru the T69, it's a terrible tank.  The DPM is bad, the pen is worst I've ever run into...even prammo (heat) pen isn't that great.  Your pen is so bad TRACKS will eat your shots quite often.  Armor is blah.  Worst tier 8 med by far, one of worst tanks (if not THE worst) in the whole tier.  Expect your WR to drop significantly.

Usually i can easly take out a T69 quite easly.

BUT you can take a beating from that autoloader, watch out

The T69 is a constant performer for me. Yes it’s best as a second line tank. Get hull down somewhere and just watch the points accumulate. In a tier IX game you do have to aim carefully. Look for weak the usual weak spots. Definitely engage a tank already engaged with a teammate. If you can’t get hull down find some good cover and peek a boom. Do not attempt to side scrape no matter what. CoD does not usually work for me with this one.

The 69 rocks. Just be sure to have somewhere to hide to reload. It’s not a brawler, so keep near cover. :bush:

Seconded. I enjoyed the T69 when I ground through it a year ago, managed to end the grind around 55% back when I was a 49-50%er.

Use crew and xp boosters to get it to 100% as fast as possible if you haven't already.

Stick and move, don't feel you have to dump a clip every time you land a shot. If you're looking at the front of a heavy and can't see the lower plate, you're in the wrong spot.

No idea why, but I loved this tank. The 54e1 grind was a kick in the junk after this gem.

much noob, working on recovery

Others have said it. It isn’t a loner tank. It’s a tandem medium. Go with another and let them push forward. Hang back so the other medium becomes the focus and then unload. If you and your teammate are outnumbered be prepared to fall back and tell your tandem the same. If he doesn’t, don’t stick around. If your close to finishing a reload let loose that clip and get out of dodge.
