To simplify credit coefficients and improve the game, I make the following suggestions to change credit coefficients.

Tech Tree tanks: 100%

Premium tanks: 200%

Enriched tanks: 150%

These are the ways the changes will be good for players and WG;

  • Tech tree tanks will no longer loose credits in a battle, neither would they be able to earn amounts rivaling that of premium tanks. This change would allow players to play tech tree tanks without loosing credits but to earn a lot of credits, you will still need to play premium tanks
  • The credit coefficients for almost all premium tanks are buffed (except some broken tier 5 ones which will be slightly nerfed). This will incentivize players to buy premium tanks due to the increased credit earnings for premiums and the removal of tech tree tanks that earn a lot of credits. Tier 8 premiums will still earn the most credits because the higher the tier, the more HP is available to farm damage.
  • Enriched tanks are standardized to 150% to keep in line of the existing 50% bonus to credit earnings
  • You can still play tech tree tanks to earn credits, just not as much.
  • This change will simplify credit coefficients so there will be no more confusion over the amount of credits a new premium earns
  • You can now play tier 10 without loosing credits

If you support or don't support this change please vote in the poll and comment what you think.

WoT says you earn credits for buying premium time or premium tanks.  You basically buy credits now. Can’t play above tier eight without using a credit booster to avoid losing credits.

Interesting and thought provoking. There is a lot more to the entire tank credit economy and profitabilty though than just that coefficient. Other adjustments would be in order to keep certain things on par, given that profitability decreases as one progesses up the tiers; so cutting low and mid tiers’ coefficients down would cause issues there for the player base, (and game reviews), buffing all premiums to the same level would lessen overall interest in costly high tier premiums.

Simple can be good and better than complex, but it is not accidental how things got this complex.

If you play tech tree tanks without losing credits there is no need for enrichment/premiums

Changing all tech tree tanks to 100% coefficient would actually nerf a lot of the mid-tier tech tree tanks coefficients. Since WG generally has coefficients tuned such that the average player without a premium account will have a very slight net gain over many battles at tiers V-VIII (even though on many battles, they may even lose some credits), this would actually make the game unplayable for a large portion of the playerbase, effectively killing the game. Moreover, this buff to high tier tanks would actually result in a fairly significant net profit on average for the average free to play player at tiers IX and X, which would pretty much break the system that WG has intended. WG designed the credit coefficient system to allow average f2p players to happily play at mid tiers with no issues, but credit accumulation will be very slow, and they are expected to lose credits at tier IX and X without a premium account. This way they are incentivized to purchase premium account or premium tanks if they wish to access the "end game" content at high tiers.

For this reason, I am against the blanket changing of credit coefficients to 100% for tech tree tanks, since A. it would completely upend the system, and B. it would kill the growth of the game for new players, since they would not be able to accumulate the credits they need to move up to tiers IX and X, which would be the only tiers that you could make credits with.

As for changing credit coefficients of premiums to 200%, I'm cool with that. The way I see it, having a Premium tank ought to be a free pass out of having to deal with credit issues. However, the one aspect that might be problematic is that if credits are allowed to be too plentiful to players with premium tanks/premium time, then the divide between premium players and f2p players would grow too large, since equipment/provisions/premium ammo is locked behind that credit paywall.

What I would be in favor of would be a blanket +10-15% credit coefficient buff to tanks at tiers V-VIII, making credit "grinding" possible for f2p players, albeit very slow, or this could allow them to purchase provisions/prammo for use in battles (although this would likely cause them to forfeit the ability to make credits). As for premium tanks, I'd increase their coefficients by a blanket +5-10% increase.

Honestly, when it comes to credits, this is a very delicate issue for WG. If f2p players can make too many credits, there's no incentive to buy premium tanks. If f2p players make too little credits, they stop playing the game, and it also precludes a lot of new players from potentially becoming paying customers. If premium players make too many credits, then the game becomes too "pay2win" since so many advantages are available to those with credits (like prammo, provisions, equipment, and expensive consumables). If premium players make too little credits, then that would force them to spend more time during credit grinds, flooding the matchmaker with too many premiums, also creating the illusion that the game is too pay2win.

If WG wants to tweak credits at all, the changes would have to be very slight, and very gradual with constant monitoring of the data.

Some premium tanks have crazy high credit coefficients but are otherwise mediocre, if not downright weak.

i don’t think the credit coefficients are bad. There are a few tanks that could use a buff such as the t49 and ru 251 but overall it’s about where it should be.
