I researched it months ago after playing the T71 obsessively. I never bought it or played a battle in it. What do you guys think?

it's very different from the t71, which i think is the most fun tank in the line... the t69 can be strong, but it's limited in a lot of ways.
the t54e1 and the t57 are both pretty darn good tanks too, if you're looking past the t69

The T57 is worth the grind (even on PC, where Tier VIII is very very painful) but the T69 is the notable low point in the line.

Spray and Pray
Recent buff has helped it. Better when used in a platoon so you don’t have to rely on muppets saving you during reload.

I really enjoy the T69. Just remember it is a support tank and really shouldn't be front line.
I can't help you on the stock grind since I never played it that way but it looks pretty rough. 160 alpha and 160 pen are do-able but the 2.04 second aim time is horrible.

I love it - the gun depression, troll armor, and surprising mobility let it get the full clip out quite reliably - its also super easy to pad WN8 if you are into that - 2K average dmg is Super Uni
Did I mention it has a better aim time than the Chinese meds?
Its just a fun tank to play. Is it the best tier 8? Not even close but it is really fun in pub matches.
WoT blitz is better than WoT PC imho because no arty and +/- 1 mm.

OP,
If you buy the T69, then remember this when playing it. First, you don't have the mobility you had in the T71. Second, you don't have light tank camo, so be sure to use magazine reloads to reset your camo. Lastly, the T69 is very meh.
