So what has stopped me from purchasing the Type 62 in the past is having a Dracula at tier 7.  The higher hit points coupled by the faster track repair never had me consider the Type 62.

As I have started to look at my garage and noticed that the only premium tanks I really haven’t purchased at high tiers are light tanks.  Perhaps I may purchase a tier seven light tank in the future.  It would fully round out my collection of three tanks per class per tier, especially for tiers 6 to 10.

However, I don’t know that a Type 62 we get much play with a Dracula in my garage.

Does anyone own both premium tanks at tier seven?

The people I have spoken to with both tanks prefer the Dracula, however I would like to get the forum opinion.

Is it worth buying a type 62 if you already have a Dracula in your garage?

Tier 10's: FV 183, T110E3, T110E4, T110E5, T57, M48, IS-4, IS-7, T-62a, Obj 140, Grille, BätChät

There is only one TD and 183 is her name.

I drive Joseph Stallon (IS) tanks for the win.

What Slayer said. I have, and enjoy both for different reasons.

Just don’t base your decision on my stats in either tank.

Okay. I bought the Type and I just won the Dracula.  Personally I prefer the Type.  It is just an absolute blast of a tank and it is what a light tank should be.  The gun is very un-Chinese in it's handling with only gun depression being it's weakness.  The HEAT round is amazing.  If you like light tanks I cannot recommend the Type enough.

Dra's main focus ludicrous speed but the type has better gun handling, that camp perk, crazy HEAT pen, etc. Out of the two, the type is a bit better rounded.

I personally prefer the drac 7 times outta 10 but the type is just as unique and there are plenty of reasons to like it.

The E-25, skill ceiling so high it's in the next tier (basically, it's OP when used to its max. potential)

I never got the Dracula. Type 62 is a favorite. Pretty sure it actually existed in real life too, if that makes any difference to anyone.

Have had both for a couple of years now.

The Dragon is like a ninja with a rapier.  it sneaks around the battle field, doing damage.  The drac is more like a flying hammer, its a bully tank.  It rams and busts open flanks.

Love them both, Drac is a more forgiving drive, but the Dragon has a better gun and better cammo (being a light tank)

I've had both for a few years, and they're both special in their own ways.

75% WR in T62 after 1050 battles, 71% WR in Drac after 1024 battles.

Both are insanely fun, but I honestly prefer the T62 8 times out of 10 because of its fast rof, accuracy, mobility, and HEAT pen. If you can keep moving and play dynamically it's one of the best tanks you'll ever play in. Not saying that the drac is bad, (it's great) but the Type 62 is just slightly better which overall makes it a blast to drive.

I just got the t-62 so I haven’t played it a lot, but that 250 heat pen seems to make it a very effective tank.  I’m just 5-2 in it, but I think it’s a good tank.  My play in the Drac is not good.

I have both. They’re very different. Dracula is race-around fun. Type 62 is more tactical. It’s easier to get in trouble faster with the Drac, but it is more maneuverable. The downside is that it’s a medium with lower DPM and pen. Type 62 has good traverse, poor engine, but high HEAT pen and great view range. It’s more of a counter to the SP I C than the Drac.

Both are very nice, but for different reasons.

I agree you should get the 62, its a must have really. One of the greatest tanks in game. I have used both the Drac and the 62, and I think you really cant compare them for the most part. The Drac is of course wicked, and can relocate and bring dmg by gun or ramming like no other med in game. But the 62 has light tank camo, better gun handling, dpm and that glorious heat pen. Even low tier a well driven 62 can carry big. I think they are both amazingly fun and deadly, but in different ways.

This. The only thing I would add is I do not like to brawl with a drac in my dragon. So I now prefer my drac.

in addition to light tank camo, the 62 is tiny and easy to hide behind obstacles. It also accellerates in forward and reverse very quickly. It is better, i think, at firing on the move. It is a true light tank while the Drac is an OP medium with light tank speed. I do better in th 62 but I like both. I rarely use the HEAT round that everyone loves cause the standard AP does find most of the time. Type 62 was the first light tank in blitz and it changed the game. I don't think it has lost it's luster over time. It's still the best light out there, IMHO.

I wouldn’t get the 62 if you have the T6. Every Dracula I’ve fought, has dominated the battlefield.

(COD-R) 54.54% Winrate. Low tiers are trash, game is ruined. FML.

Certain tanks in every tier are primary targets for me...  Dracula & Helsing & T49 just to name a few.

I consider tunneling them if they're driven by a good player or top clan.

Not really qualified to post as I don't own the Drac and I will admit to being a poor Dragon driver but the only issue I have with the Dragon is it has the worst sounding engine in the game. It sputters along like it is missing 2 injectors and the other ones need to be cleaned.

I do remember you on top of the hill on Dead Rail.  After counting the dots on the mini map I saw it was safe to engage you.  You played well, it helped me being a tier higher and left one versus one.

After after reading the above, I believe the Type 62 plays differently than the Drac and might be worth spending gold at the right price. I should have 8,000 gold left and maybe if I’m the store at a 6,000 or less gold price I would try it. I didn’t purchase it before as I wanted to focus my gold reserves on the Cheiftan Mark 6. Now the last spot I have one open slot for a tier 7 light. I will persue this at a later date to complete my garage.

Thank yinz.
