Hey guys,

Happy New Year 2019!

I have put together a detailed video on crew skills. I talk about training your crew to 100% and then talk about each of the crew skills that can be further researched by tank type. Keep in mind these skills apply to all tanks. My recommendation is to focus on the medium and TD skills, meaning try to play more games in those two types of tanks. Of course there are some good skills under the lights and mediums, so don't forget about them. But the main point is that it is important to choose these skills wisely at the start as they can make a big difference in game.

If you want to really grind skills fast, play elite tanks, use premium certificates and the free crew XP (and possibly combat XP) boosters, hit multipliers (they stack with the boosters), and dump your elite XP into acceleration.  If you go crazy during a high multiplier weekend, you can grind out enormous amounts of crew XP with those ideas.  Mentor is mostly a relic IMO.  Yes, it helps a bit, but getting effectively 5K to 10K crew XP per win because of boosters and active multipliers and acceleration totally dwarfs having an extra 5% or 7% from mentor.  If you do want to train mentor to level 3 or 4 that's fine (because the low levels are fairly cheap), but don't take mentor to level 7 and only then start working on your other medium skills.

Mentor is literally a sunk-cost fallacy unless you've already researched the rest of the medium tank crew skills.

So basically I legit don't ever look at the forum anymore because I mainly look at it during school. My school banned the site you go to log in and I couldn't post, and I'd rather devote my time when on my home computer to playing the game. So yeah basically why I vanished from the forum. Its not like I posted a lot anyways lol

my crappy stats= here

and for the life of me I cant find a pfp that is small, this one is getting old

Ya I think this is it. It’s really about getting a key set of skills to level 5 first. If you do this, you don’t need level 7 Mentor. You only need level 7 Mentor when you’re taking your skills beyond level 5 because the top two levels require two thirds of the overall experience to get to level 7.

This is also really woke me up as to how much gold I’ve wasted on other things, when I should have been spending it on accelerating the top two levels of crew skills (about 4k gold for each skill), since it affects the performance of all of your tanks.

Good video, really enjoyed it. I think if you keep up this quality and originality you should get the required 5k subscribers and I believe you would be an excellent CC.

Well done. Now WG needs to make this available to the new players via a link within the game.

I disagree on both points.
IMO, Mentor is actually one of the very first skills that should be maxed to Level 7.  It amounts to 7% on every single Combat XP you earn from every single tank.  If you are building a tank it will speed up getting a 100% crew if you don't waste your gold on buying one.
If you do the math, you'll see that for every 378 Crew XP you earn, on any tank, that amounts to being worth one (1) battle of progress on the selected skill being trained.  For perspective,

If you play 30 battles (in any tank) and average 200 Crew XP per battle, that amounts to 15 battles of progress on the skill estimator window.  In 1 week that's 105 battles worth of skill-building.
I know, doesn't sound like that much....  BUT, 40 battles averaging 500 XP is 20,000 and that's 50 battles worth of skill-building.  In 1 week that's 350 battles worth of skill-building.
Think of it as a dividend or profit-sharing or interest.  "Money from nuthin' "
Compound that with prudent use of Crew XP Boosters, daily x2 bonuses and periodic VIP hours, the 'dividends' are huge.

Second, using gold on ammo, camo, accelerating anything is a waste of gold unless you're buying gold.  [Coining]   Buy an upper tier premium/gold tank with your gold.  One that has a high credit-coefficient (Higher return rate on credits & xp).

I saved my gold from crates and events and bought the Lowe Reliant.  It has one of the highest credit coefficients in game. 185%.  The Tiger 1, for comparison, is 104%.  What this amounts to is that I can use APCR for an entire battle, do nothing spectacular, LOSE the battle and still make a profit or come close to breakeven..  And I earn more XP.
You can find credit-coefficients on https://tank-compare.blitzstars.com/ and scroll down to bottom.  I've attached a screencap.  I just recently found a table at http://forum.wotblit...817#entry875817 thanks to Posit1ve_ . It may be a bit dated, but it's a good starting place.
