5 seconds at the beginning of the battle is not nearly enough time to strategically form a plan. I'm suggesting that the time before battle should be increased to 15 or 20 seconds.

Wouldn't hurt, but I bet it would just be an extra 15 seconds for 40s to have a shouting match and spam 'negative'.

As team members can ONLY be relied upon to scatter and not read what has been written, the better plan is to figure out out who is the one other competent player on your team and just stay with them and double team all of the Red newbs.

More time will not result in better teams and strategies. Heavies are just gonna roll forward in whichever direction they are pointed. AmIRight?

You've got two viable directions to choose from on each map, which is heavily based on the heavy/medium balance of the team, and chances are the six other morons are just going to scatter and die anyways. After that, you have first contact with the reds and your "plan" gets thrown out the window anyways. Five seconds for "planning" is plenty.

You mean you want more time for dumb dumbs to decide whether they are going to spin their turrets clockwise or counter clockwise for the first minute of battle.

Even 10 seconds is enough imo. Usually I scan the players names/clans, o7 those I recognize, then start to look at enemy team and my team’s lineup. Before I even finish reading one team’s, the battle starts. I don’t like rushing up the Mines hill still looking at the list, wondering if they have any derps or fast tanks that’ll cause me problems.

I agree here. It COULD work, but then again, more time offers more of a chance for players to argue about why they'd rather smell the roses rather than pick an appropriate direction.

Good post! Maybe they could do this on a trial basis. Worth exploring.

These are good points you guys are making. I guess there's nothing that can be done about these frequently lobsidded steamrolls. It's either carry hard or lose hard.

I think the given amount of time before the battle is plenty.I usually just call a direction and if the team is not full of nubs, they will usually follow.

I cant find anything to put here.
