Hi Forumers!

 

I've been eyeing the M6A2E1 EXP at the auction. It's about to drop to 7500 gold, which I think is a pretty good deal for this tank due to its rarity. I've been looking through previous threads, but I can't find any relevant information. I also already have the M6A2E1 in my garage. So- should I even bother with the EXP? I really clicked with the Tier 7 Goose, and I feel like I'd probably mesh well with the EXP. Some quick questions:

- How does it's armor profile hold up?

- Is it still as strong as it's little brother tier for tier? 

- How does it do when bottom tier?

-Would you recommend the tank for 7500 gold given my situation?

I like Mutant more than Goose. Its has awesome pen, from armor and mobility not that bad. because it has good pen, it doesnt suck being lower tier. for 7500 gold, thats the best deal! you can usually get tier 7 tank for that price.

The tier 8 is much better than the tier 7.  Frontal armor is near impenetrable.

tier 7 goose = tall skinny T29

tier 8 goose = tall skinny T34

 

tier 8 goose has exceptional frontal armor, but precise shooters will aim for the cheeks. You can protect them even with teh slightest amount of movement. The sides of this goose are about as vulnerable as those on the tier 7, so if that tank is working for you the tier 8 should too.

 

Personally, I like both tanks and find that while the guns are the same as the tech tree counterparts, they offer extra variety due to the height of the barrels. You can shoot from behind obsticales that would be too big for other tanks so it allows you to use maps differently than you can in just about any other tank.

 

Also, I second what DMG said about the frontal armor. it is tier for tier, better than the tier 7 goose.

I'm in the same situation basically, and I think 7500 gold for it is a great deal. Looking on Blitzstars compared to the T34, the mutant has slightly better aim time, 2.63 to the T34's 2.81. The M6 exp also has better dispersion on movement/rotation. 0.22 to the T34's 0.25. M6 exp also has the edge in power to weight, 15.77 to the T34's 13.76. Terrain resistance advantage as well, 1.1, 1.5 to 1.4, 1.7. Though the T34 has the edge in speed, 35 to 29, and traverse 25 to 24.  In WG's server data, the M6 EXP is 2nd highest tier 8 heavy in dmg and win rate, the French M4 mle.49. being 1st. But this data may be a bit slanted as so few own it, Im not sure of the numbers owned on RU, but only 429 players own this tank in NA. All the same its still very strong in capable hands. People always compare it to the T34, understandably. Sure the T34 is better hull down, but in pub matches more often than not it breaks down into a brawl, and you have to leave your hull down spot. I believe this is where the Mutant shines with its very strong frontal hull armor, and likely why it has such a high win rate in WG's data. It's not been offered much, so I think its a great chance to get it.

tier 9 will have a. Dryer chance at pen and you will need to work harder to prot ct the lower plate. But if you avoid siting still and can rely on your allies to help you not get flanked then it is strong as low tier.
