Powerglide- Rae Sremmurd--> Stuck in my head, and I can't get it out. The beat's catchy, the lyrics are... not so much.

In response to the question, I've established myself as a Hip Hop lover, but I also vary from Classical (Chopin, Vivaldi, etc) to Rap (Kendrick, Drake, Eminem, etc).

I'd be curious to see if the more upbeat the music, the better one plays?..

I have swung from Afrobeat (Femi Kuti) to lofi chill in the last few days. But I play classical guitar....music is like water, let it take you where it wants.

I like everything, although country tends to be at the bottom of my taste list but Freestyle is at the top. But maybe that's just cuz I'm getting older...

There's only two types of music I either only listen to certain kinds or not at all:

Country-will not listen to most any mainstream shat but admit some Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins is o-kay to a point I do however like Those Poor Bastards which is listed as country, how I do not know, and I like one of Strawfoot's albums but again how it's country I fail to see.

Rap-forget it,I'd sooner shoot the music device pouring that drivel out,one form of music I honestly can say I find dangerous, very shallow and short sighted and only concerned with the here and now also very defeatist and of a mindset to never pull oneself out of the bad you find yourself in,China banned it and we should too.

According to what I've heard, capricious musical tastes can be a sign of depression, since depression can cause a lack of interest or enjoyment in certain activities. Personally I say it's a load of crap, but it may well be right.

My music tastes hops between edgy alt rock (Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Breaking Ben, etc) to drumstep and house music, although right now I'm on a fix for Cosmo Sheldrake. If you've seen that new iPhone X commercial for color flood, he's the guy who wrote the background song.

Honestly his music makes me feel like a little kid again. I love it.

Older rappers like Eminem and Co. are much better with the genre of rap as a whole. As it stands now, rap's become a cesspool polluted by wannabe gangsters and rapists who have nothing better to do and don't understand the first thing about a good song.

What's worse is that most teenagers these days worship modern rappers like gods and disown true rappers. Sad times we live in. Sad times, indeed.

True enough, however while I don't have an outright "ban this crap" about it I still don't like it,in fact being honest ANY black music just zips past me,I started with 50's rock and then 60's back in the 80's as a teen and in that time Motown "soul" was huge with the Yuppies and any sort of socially aware white people and I was lost,it's not bad music just has no meaning to me so I don't partake.

It's similar with classical music I don't care for Beethoven or Bach however I do like it mixed with metal, you might have the odd version I do like such as Max Richter's Infra 5 which is amazing.
