Ya, that's what I paid too. I said I would pick it up if it made it to the lowest price level. I actually have a good winrate in it, I just don't enjoy it. The gun just trolls me too much. I'd rather drive either the Mod 1 or the ltwt.

In real life the APBC shot alone pens 235mm of steel.

 

By comparison the 88/71 struggles to even do that value with APCBC, and fails comically against angled armor.

The type 59 is a solid tank. Unless you shoot its ammo rack. I swear I get ammo racked in that tank frontally more than any other tank in my garage. Manage to get it hull down though and you can reliably bounce just about anything off the turret. I would like to see it get a slight ROF buff but honestly, that would make it very nearly OP. Especially in the hands of a competent tanker.

I must be weird, I actually like it. Got mine during Blitz Fair a year ago, really dont care about winning it again though.

It looks great with the fire Sentinel camo.

I agree It's a solid tank, not op which is fine. The troll gun is what balances the great armor.

Perhaps they'd make type 59 a collectors vehicle.
