Currently I have 3 grinds going (E50M line, FV215 line, Foch line), and it shouldn't take more than 3 months for me to finish them. But what next? I can choose from the following lines:

All American lines but the T57

VK72

E100

Maus

IS-4

(I can also try out the Ferdinand or the VK32, tanks which I have never played)

Discuss.

(edit: irrelevant, but is the Matilda 4 any good? Also, how is the SU-122-44?)

ferdi is better than it seems l m a o

the lines you're grinding all end up with great guns on decently mobile platforms... so if you wanted to stick with that i'd say the patton/e5 lines

...but you also specifically gave us four heavy lines to choose from as well, so go for the vk72; maus grind seems boring AF

>>>canine prints have claw marks, yet "mans best friend" camo does not; it would seem then that mans best friend is a cat... probably a leopard.

VK72 is a disaster of a tank.  Don’t go up that line expecting to play T10.

Grinding the tier 9 of the vk line, again cuz I'd ground the maus from it and it hurts so much. Sure, you can angle, but it's very situational and the armor isnt all that reliable IMO. Then again, my first run through it was when anything could penetrate the turret top plate pre-buff so im still a bit annoyed from that.

Maus, on the other hand, looks solid. Aced it at 76% crew the other night for a bit over 1200 exp. Working on the vk100 before they nerf that to oblivion but it'll be a while at my pace.

Of your list I recommend the is4, vk100, and maus since their lines are pretty solid throughout.

Sometimes, you just gotta sit back and watch them all burn. Don't forget to bring popcorn. You're going to need a snack.

The Maus line is a lot of fun, and the Maus is strong. Same with the E 100, although the E 75 is the peak IMO. The IS-4 is also very very good, but I don’t really swear by the KV-4 or ST-I, both are good, but not my cup of tea really.

If you are looking into Heavies (as it looks like), it is hard to go wrong with IS-4. It has been always a solid tank, but these days is arguable the best.

VK72 - IMHO a total P.O.S, basically a worse (by a lot) version of E100 which is a solid tank.

Maus is good - a true superheavy if you like that playstyle.

Re American lines: E5 IMHO is not worth it. T29 is the best of the line, then it goes downhill, with E5 still being average at best (before the coupola surgery it was plain bad). The Patton line is good (except T20 being a love/hate tank for most people, and Pershing being punished by IS spam).

Update: E4 line is terrific, as long as you can outlive (or freeXP) T28 proto.

The IS-4 is super good right now. I personally don't own one, but I've heard great things about it. The SU-122-44 is a solid tank. The gun has high DPM but the handling and pen aren't the best. The armor is good if you angle it. When it's not angled, very easy to pen. Lacks gun depression and has good mobility. Also makes good credits.
