WG please give the t49 it’s average of 960 dmg like every other 152mm out there with he shells!

however I can stand for the heat dmg though. But come on wg now u r in like teir ix battles. The only heavy I can seem to pen I should the back of the m103 if it isn’t angled. Or at least make the heat shells more expensive because it’s puting a big dent in my credits bin.

It would be nice to make the heat shells the standard shells though

I always proposed this and will stand by this as the most balanced way to improve the t49's fighting capabiliity against russia bias without hurting light tanks more

 

 

Give it a 960 dmg 0 pen HE shell. This means the only point of it is to splash on heavy tanks for 300 dmg instead of 150-200.

No. That would still deal zero damage. Splash calcs still take penetration numbers into account, not just alpha.

The tier IX Kpf 70 has 560 standard round alpha as well, with the same size gun. It won’t be changed. The reason the HEAT is standard and the HE is premium is because historically, the HE represents a missile. It was a gun designed to fire both anti-tank rounds (like HEAT) and a special guided missile (which is Highly Explosive). So I understand why the two shells are the way they are. I don’t think the HE should be so expensive, however, since it’s not terribly useful and is often used as a last resort (it goes HE>HEAT>Splash in the Scale of Desperation).

The missile is the MGM-51 Shellilagh missile, which has a HEAT warhead. However the missile is not represented on the tech tree T49, which is why the gun has the designation “(conventional)” in its name. The gun IRL also fired both HEAT and HE shells however that were not missiles

Yes but these shells saw little to no use. Also, there was undoubtedly a version of the MGM-51 that traded away the penetrating warhead and just crammed it full of explosives, as Americans are wont to do. The reason America liked using the MGM-51 is because it has a large amount of chemical energy penetration and at the time of the M551 Sheridan's creation, the Russians were struggling to create tanks with enough chemical energy resistance to resist the MGM-51. But as I said, Americans are wont to cram sh*t full of explosives at one point or another, hence why I don't doubt the existence of a HE warhead MGM-51.

OP, the HEAT shells are the standard shell for the T49. 

 

Try the Conq's rear, the Kpz's rear, the 120's rear, and the IS-8's rear.

HEAT. HE tends to not be very reliable on the back of russian heavies or at the very least, it is difficult to hit the right strip of armor to deal full dmg with HE since the sweet spot is so situational.

I load the t49 like this mostly HEAT with 7 HE and to do the best in the t49 you need to sit back I till everyone is spotted and  then flank, flank and fire till they are dead it will not take long with 500 avg HEAT damage
