Just wondering why dead players are able to talk to living players. I never understood this about blitz.

It just makes sense to me that dead and living be separated in chats.

Your thoughts/opinions?

I believe this has been debated before on the forums. The solution WG gave us was the option to turn off chat.

I never type in chat, but occasionally, when it's a tight game or I die early to an unspotted sniper, I'll feed my team info on enemy tank locations/HP/etc., which I assume is the purpose of letting tanks chat after they've died.

I think turning off global chat after you've died could be useful though, because often you get VERY salty players on your team who feed info to the other team. Obviously you should report these players, but it's still frustrating when they do it.

I did it for awhile and then I realized I should go on to another battle. I mean what can I do here anyway. I AM DEAD. You are right they should stop chat at death like real life. Stop the dead from speaking.  Go live on in another battle.  Glad this is not the real eternity. lol

I feel like you should be limited to team-only chat when you die. But anyways, you never know, you could get/give some advice that helps ya win a game.

They are an extra pair of eyes in theory they could be helpful. However this is online gamming and everything can happen. If you get so annoyed disable chat. Was this worth a post? I dont think so.

You talk from the dead in hopes of helping the team pull out an end game with a victory. Optimal times to use this feature are when you know the last known position of a red your team is searching for and the ditrection it was headed. You can also talk nubs into doing it right every so often, every time that happens it’s worth it.

Just because your dead, it doesn’t mean your game is over. What you choose to do with it is you’re own.

Exactly. Dead players can always help. In a recent game near the end one of our tanks was capping and had half capped. We had two others and one red alive. I chatted for one of our tanks, or both, to cap also, but they didn't listen and went searching for the red. The red was smart and avoided them and shot the capper (if that's such a word). He didn't kill him but his hit killed the cap, of course. Result a draw. We could have easily won.

On dead rail. I was killed by a td sniping, unspotted in the corner.  I let the team know and by being aware, they were able to protect themselves effectively leading to the win.

Team chat is quite useful.

Global chat for the dead is toxic.

Ignore the bad and the salt; accept the good that it can bring when you have a veteran player on your team who got taken down, who can give a couple pointers to those alive on how to win the battle, if at all possible.

In this game I like to think my tank was knocked out, but I survived and am relaying info on a hand held radio. :sceptic:

Yes, it’s good to be able to advise your team if reds are flanking a certain direction, moving behind green team or to let them know if a someone on your team is afk, so they’ll know that person will not be there to help and your team is down one player. I’ve seen some fairly useful advice come from tankers who’ve been taken out of game, but did ok before they were. They were still playing a support role even though they were no longer active in a match. Very appreciated!

These^ are the ones that need muted. There are so many guys calling bad direction and laying out poor strategies that it isn’t funny. I had a 1 on 2 at mines the other day and I’ve got 3 nubs calling me nub, 1 saying I’m a stupid camper who hasn’t done anything in my Chinese TD, and 1 telling me to run from 2 one shot tanks.

I won against 2 tier VIIIs with a tier VII and nobody said gg afterwards.

Good players are trying to win and don’t need the help or already way ahead of you in the thought process

Poor,new,unskilled players are :

calling direction ( usually the wrong direction or the nearest group of buildings, I think it’s called town, don’t go there very often. )

spamming the Hold position button and help button, before they leave spawn

Cant find sectors on the mini map, don’t know right from left. You can forget calling north, south east or west.

Are to busy rushing to the nearest bush to get in the middle of it, always right in front of you!

Take off to the nearest hilltop with guns ablaze!

Go directly to farthest point from battle and watch battle unfold

drive out sideways from cover because it’s quicker?

[edited]at you after their dead and your still alive while playing effectively! Downvote you if their in a platoon

what have I missed?

I try to keep chat off, keeps me from being an donkey !
