Example 1: Normandy Team follows the heavy to A or worse the beach. Do you Cap C/D? or go with them?

Example 2: Canal  Team Goes A Ignoring your cries to go D, They ignore B/C.

Example 3: Port Bay, entire team goes town.

or any other map where there is a right way and a wrong way? How do you turn this steamer situation into a win? Especially when the usual reply to my urging is "JAJAJA"

If the team goes the "wrong way" ... follow, especially solo.  The number of times I got spanked as a duo for going the right way, thinking I could hold the hill with my toon mate, team would come around once I spot the reds .....  It is better to just tag along and make the best of it, versus getting deleted right out the gate, I think.

I should do that, but it feels like I am committing an indecent act... It just feels so wrong.

Oasis Palms, if I run the dunes and my team feints line they’re going with me then turns around and goes to town I run. I’ve had it happen several times, if you wait too long you’re dead so it’s always better to go if it looks cheesy early.

Port bay if I get to the bridges across the river and my teams are not moving or heading to town I’ll still take a peek from the one spawn because I can still get away if the reds show or my team doesn’t come. From the spawn on the other side you have to make your decision earlier because of you get caught out there you’re dead.

Canal, I’ll push the medium side but never alone. If my guys linger behind the 1st hill I’m out of there, I’d rather die fighting with the heavies in a spot I don’t like than fight in front of a bunch of laying back, non risk taking, unaggressive remoras.

Normandy, I hate the non beach side of the upper part of the map from both spawns. Guys go there and sit waiting for guys to pull out in front of them. I try to position somewhere I can pick up spots from reds who try to probe the other side, even with a TD. If my guys all go the other way, I’ll still position for a shot there then look to hold. if I notice my team pushing the other side unattested, I’ll give it up and head that way.

On just about every map I don’t commit to any one position and everything I do is situational, I also take into account team make up. The one thing you can’t account for is player skill level and if you base what you do on them being able to do their part or you expect them to, you’re going to be let down. Vineyards can be rough as Hell even if your team doesn’t go to town because guys will pick worthless positions to set up in where they don’t have LOS to any tanks you spot. . I just try to maximize my chances by playing off the poor spots my team mates choose to fight from when they set up out of position and draw the reds to them. Sometimes it works and sometimes my guys just sit there and wait to get flanked.

  It’s frustrating.

The right way and wrong way don't really mean so much anymore.  Now you just hope the team goes the right way but the most important thing IMO is to look at what the team is doing and make it work.  You can turn the wrong side of the map into a win.  The worst thing to do, as acrisis said, is to go the right way all by yourself.  Sure, you can go spot, but you better have a good exit strategy.

You're playing Blitz so getting over shame should be routine. Every game is different. Usually, follow the general direction looking to farm off your team, get side shots, pester, whatever and hope Red sucks more than your team so you can break off and get something useful done.

Your fuming won't decrease but your WR will go up incrementally. Teams are f'ing retarded these days and the metas have all been destroyed.

I'd like ti argue that A side is a viable option in canal encounter....BUT mainly because people go there regardless if I call D or not so I had to learn how to play it...

To answer your question: If you are alone on your side play a passive position to spot any incoming flankers and have a place to retreat to the main forces if it is too much for you to handle. Also, after battle, if you lost be sure to message every single person who made the trash call about how their IQ level is comparable to a rock's ability to fly.

Honestly if my team goes the wrong way on many maps, my experience has shown me I’m best off doing my own thing.

Tier 8 and below I will go be an Army of One, 9-10 I will farm off my team like a weasel.

The reason I’ve adopted this is simply because too often I will get pushed out into the open by morons (it happens to often with teams going ‘the right way’ anyway).

Go town - fine go without me, I may run past you trying to drag red to you later - but that’s not where I am staying.

Just this morning i had my entire team ignore my call to go dunes at Oasis Palms..   as they all decided that they needed to go shopping in town.. i did my best to support them, but it was a lost cause before the first shot fired. Had i went dunes alone i probably would've been deleted first or second and not gotten the highest damage and only kills on my team (they were useless morons that made even me look good)

Depends on tier and tank type. Tier 5-7 in a fast tank, I will often go and spot the "right" way. Tier 8-10, I go with the team. In a slow tank, go with the team.

It’s pretty bad when the game has taught you more Spanish curse words than you know English ones. I couldn’t order a taco in Tijuana but I could cuss out the guy taking my order like a boss.

Teammates aren't meatshields for nothing, many players are a unimind, dont join them just follow, in the best case all win, and you deal lot of damage or permatrack a enemy; in the worst scenario a defeat.

Always better to go the wrong way with the team than the right way alone. Exceptions for flanking.
