Reading over the description page for the 15k WZ-112-2 bundle, the wording of something bothers me... it states that with the bundle, it includes "the Celestial camouflage and Hard Shell attachment that adds anti-HEAT screens to the turret." Does anyone have this bundle that can confirm whether or not the attachment actually changes vehicle characteristics apart from appearance? If this is the case then I think this is a terrible idea. The screens on the back of a turret might not be a big deal but this opens up the door for WG to add bigger and better modifications in the future and it needs to be nipped at the bud.

(In the case that the use of the words "anti-HEAT screens" was just used to describe the looks of the attachment rather than the effect it has, please call me an idiot below followed by an "F").

Interesting.

One would need to check the game files to see if there is a second model for the one with the camo/attachment.

Usually camo and attachments are just a skin over the standard model.

I think 5.5 was good for the game - But I also want my Kenny OP nerfed.
Sorry I haven’t aced the Smasher yet - So I’m still ruining tier 6-8

Maybe it’s like that eagle attachment on the T23E2. That bird is funny.

The anti-HEAT attachment works on the Chrysler K confirmed.  It also diminishes HE rounds bc they explode away from the hull.

It’s a great idea. It’s no different than any spaced armor. My beef with WG is that not everything that should be spaced armor is spaced armor. Many Russian tanks get it for their side storage bins, but not other tanks with storage bins. In real life, storage bins and cage attachments would detonate HEAT rounds.

That's an eagle? I thought it looked more like a sickly, malnourished vulture..

I dont think attachments have any other function besides cosmetics.

Of course it could be tested in game to prove me wrong, and imo that’s ecactly  what someone shoulde do,

but that’s pretty sure.

also I’m asking military buffs, how are those baskets called? Anyone ?

Done and confirmed. The attachment for the Chrysler K works and it was advertised to do so. So I’m sure the WZ’s attachment does also if they advertise it to do so. As far as I know, these are the only two attachments that work in the game. Both were advertised to work as anti-HEAT.

Slat armor, also known as bar armorcage armor and standoff armor, is a type of vehicle armor designed to protect against anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attacks. That’s it’s real world name and application.

I am fine with not so useless attachments if they add freemium versions of it (those you could pay credits for)

I got the bird on on the t23e3.  I can confirm it doesn't stop many shells.

A good heavy driver knows how to make shots bounce off their armor, how to use cover while fighting at the front, when to get out there and just take the shot to protect his team, to keep the reds attention focused so his team can flank, and to consistently do damage while all of that happens.

how did you test it ? How did you make sure it works ? I would appreciate a replay.

and you believe in WG’s typically convoluted wording ?

and I’m not asking the name of spaced armor I’m asking about the name of the basket that is on the outside of tanks and designed to carry the belongings of the crew  and parts for the tank needed while they are out in a mission, since there is usually zero space inside an armored vehicle. It has a specific name which I forgot.

that thing doesn’t look like spaced armor, it looks a lot more like that basket. Now pretty much anything would work as spaced armor. except in a virtual world.

Winner

I’ve noticed a strong lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?

No, it is not. This problem will solve itself with time. Many players have several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, so they don’t have enough Spare Parts for the entire vehicle fleet. But you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

I had my buddy shoot at me with his ST-1 with HEAT and HE. We tried it at different angles and directly perpendicular. Works as advertised. Don’t care about WGs word, only cared if what I purchased worked as advertised. It did, so I’m happy. If you want to see it work, come shoot at me in a training room. I’m not concerned enough to prove my word to post a replay.

I don’t have a tank and don’t know anyone who does, so I am not going to do the testing.

Posting a replay takes about 10s so I’m not too sure why you wouldn’t share but I guess that’s your choice.

however if the basket - or potential attachments - really worked as spaced armor that would have massive repercussions,

and im curious how they did it technically.

ill find someone else as I am in the EU server.

Your concern is warented. If WG adds items that improve your tank and can only be acquired with gold (or cash), then that is 100% pay to win.
