Since a lot of us are going to be acquiring an M6A2E1 over the next couple days, I figured I should make a post for us to talk about it. Feel free to contribute a tank review, advice, anything related to the M6A2E1.

I’ll go first:

Avoid high pen tanks. Tanks like the Löwe, T34, ISU, or other M6s can just swap to prammo and just go straight through your front. And you can’t angle too much or you’ll show your paper sides. Also, just don’t go near Conways. They have about the same amount of hp as you and a whole heckuva lot more dpm, plus insane pen and accuracy.

Side armor is very thin. Turret also isn't as strong as the T34/T29/T30's.

But gun is just as good, and the engine is powerful. I'd say the above are really the only downsides to an otherwise stellar tank.

The tank is awful for me,one of the worst tanks I’ve driven next to the Emil.

Lousy tank, not worth making the effort to acquire.

4000 games in the KV2 during the last 30 days seems like pretty decent perspective from which to draw that conclusion. Smh

This tank is awesome!  Don't let anybody get around your sides and rear, get close and abuse the gun depression to hit them from awkward angles.  Don't be a wuss, be aggressive.  High pen tanks will pen you, you can also pen them.  You might have to use tank skills occasionally to win those battles against high pen tanks.  Against other tanks you can play stupid.  It's greatest asset is it's gun which will pen anything and is pretty accurate, the long reload gives you a chance to reposition.  God bless America.

I have yet to get a roll above 400.

"Blitz" can't exist within a world of TDs.

Don’t show me even a sliver of your sides, or I will punish you. Turret cheeks are kind of weak, especially going up against a high penetration or high accuracy gun. You can also go through the front with a really big gun like the BL-10. I think it’s a pretty average tank. Armor works some of the time and I think the gun is pretty nice.

Which is better? M6E2A1 or T34? T34 has better DPM but it’s slow af. M6 trades dpm for mobility. Which one would you rate better?

M6 has better power/weight but i dont see that as an advantage because it only tops out at 29 (35 for t34). Also 2 km slower reverse.

I continue to proclaim that the T34 armor profile is far more practical than the m6's layout. With paper sides and a high profile topped by a so-so turret, I dont see much use for the thick front hull. You can't sidescrape, you cant hull down, you can only attempt to poke your front out at a steep angle and pray that they dont snipe your turret cheeks or wreck your drive wheel.

I much prefer the low profile of the T34 with the practical solid turret and front plate that becomes a tough pen angle when hull down. Also I like the thick tracks that let the T34 sidescrape successfully on the rare occasion.

T34 has a lower skill floor.

It really could use the armor model from PC if not console's. it's nothing great here on Blitz. Only good thing is having that 120mm over the bad 105mm it gets on PC/Console

The T34 is a one trick pony, but it does it so well. Sure you can sidescrape, but only defensively as you will get penned easily if you stick out too much. The hull is butter to anyone from tier 7+, but that gun can sing and that turret will stop everything with a little wiggle.

The EXP gives you a modicum of flexibility to move around from hull down spot to hull down spot. While the front plate allows you to charge weak pen tanks all day. That break in monotony would make for a less boring credit grind experience IHMO. We shall see, as i haven't had a chance to break her in yet.

I've smacked a light tank and rolled 500...

Anyway I think it's alright,a bit funny it and the T34 have the same gun yet the EXP has a way slower load time, also you don't get the super fuel you ain't going anywhere thing is slow as swollen balls and forget backing up to get out of the line of fire you just get a huge "shoot me" sign above your tank.

I was having a devil of a time trying to win when I got it yesterday morning but it's better now so I guess everybody trying to get it where screwing the game play up over all? It's a T34 with another skin worse in some ways and better in others in a way like the 252U,112 are basically the IS-3 with another skin.

I won't be able to grind it completely, so it'll cost me about 4800 gold to complete that last phase and get the M6A2E1 EXP.

Is it worth it?

I've already got the T34, Lowe, IS-3 Defender, KV-5, and hesitate to even mention the AMX 50 100, and am about to start climbing the IS-3 and KV-3 lines.

Obviously at this point it's cheaper than the Tier 7 non-EXP version from the store, but I'm still not sold on whether it's worth the gold. As soon as I spend it, surely something else nice will come along.

I've been coming up against them a lot in my Rhm-B, and it seems easy enough to pen it with prammo (unless you get those lovely bounces), but I also see the EXPs putting up a ton of damage each round on the final leaderboards, at least when driven well.

That depends on how you credit grind. I have the T34, Lowe, Mod.1, and the Shinobi as my credit-grinding crew because i get bored easily. But if you can use one tank for coin, then save it for OP premiums like the WZ-120-GTFO, or the 252U IMHO.

Yeah, I've already got a pretty sweet credit-grinding group with the Lowe, T34, Type 62, SU-122-44, and the Angry Connor.

It's so tempting at just 4800g, but I'm thinking I'll skip it and save that for later.

Thanks for the comments! One of those nearly invincible WZ TDs would be nice...
