Hey ladies!  And wazzup dudes!

I went ahead and bought the Rudy.  I already have the Victory.  I played the regular T-34-85 to 45% back in the days of newb, which would be a good number if we were talking about the alcoholic content of a liquid.  I used to suck at meds, but I can hold my own now so I'll probably buy the T-34-85 and do some stat repair soon.

Anyway, I was curious as to what you guys thought about the various strengths and weaknesses of the various T-34-85s, how good they are for their tier, and the differences between them.

I feel that I should include a joke in my OP so you guys know it's really me so here goes:

I once knew a kid whose eyelid was damaged in a firework explosion.  The Doctors took skin from his weiner and used it to make a new eyelid.  He's okay now, he's just a little cockeyed.

Once there was this kid who
Got into an accident and couldn't come to school
But when he finally came back
His hair had turned from black into bright white
He said that it was from when
The cars had smashed him so hard
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm

T34-85 Rudy is one of the best non-fake medium tanks at tier 7. It’s one of those tanks that just wins. It’s solid in all categories, but not great in any. Put them all together and magic happens. It’s one tank in my garage that I can say is anti-cursed.

Love my Rudy, guy in my clan last fall recommended it and I'm still glad I bought it.

Rudy is excellent. I have the Victory as well but it felt underwhelming in the few battles I played in it. Don't have the tech tree one.

As others have said, the Rudy is amazing. Just remember to pack some gold for the IS-holes out there.

IMHO, the standard tech tree T-34-85. It's just a good solid all-rounder. I struggled with the poor pen on the Rudy back when I got it. Haven't touched it often, but I reckon I could handle it better now.

So the Rudy's really popular!  Coming in a distant second is the base model, and nobody likes Victory.  That's interesting, I've done pretty well in the Victory [58% but it's been on a little losing streak lately too].  I'm a little concerned about how the Rudy will fare in tier 8 games, which it'll see a lot of.

I’ve really soured on tanks with a lack of gun depression. Have the Victory, loved it at first.

Tech tree one is the best one.

Type 58

I’ve noticed a strong lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?

No, it is not. This problem will solve itself with time. Many players have several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, so they don’t have enough Spare Parts for the entire vehicle fleet. But you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

I am with Boris on the Type 58, but the Rudy is great. The gun will struggle to pen things. It has a great rate of fire so I run calibrated shells. Armor is thin so I would run the hit points. Your sides are thin so you are HE bait. It can be bouncy. The big plus is it looks really cool and the gun has good numbers for a Russian.

For me, the normal 85 is excellent to wreak havoc in any enemy team. if the driver is skilled enough ofc

Rudy is superb and Victory feels just like tech tree but prints credits.  I loved Vic more before tier 8 became the new tier 6.
