Metas have gone out the window.   When the rest of the team finally moves 30seconds into battle.  Most wont even answer you and the ones that do usually say they’re too slow to do anything but drive straight.

I hate the town/psuedo-town/whatever it is. It's small and cramped and all the ramps just lead to the same place. I much prefer the rocket launch place where you can get a lot of lines of fire set up, have a bunch of bushes to hide in, and easy access into the ramps. Plus you can shove Ru 251s off the drop-offs and sit on them.

I usually head to the A cap.  If my team follows, I'll push up to the corner and try to lure the reds over in front of their guns.  If my team doesn't follow, I'll camp at the bush so I can see the corner, and pop a shot into the first red that comes that way.  Then I'll speed off and catch my team in the ramps.

I usually play lights and meds..

What I genuinely don't get is how people whine and complain about this. I admittedly haven't been playing that much lately, but even when I play I NEVER get a team that waits 30 to go. I genuinely can't remember the last time I saw a team like this, if I go the opposite direction of the team I usually try to end up in mid and slowly make my way to the team, I see splitting quite often but I never see just not moving for 30 sec. the very tops I see is 15 seconds, and that's quite rare.

Remember what the general said. We're the cavalry. It would be bad form to arrive early; in the nick of time would do nicely.

That would probably be because by your own account.  You don’t get teams like this.   Others do.    Smh

Yep. I've especially noticed that in the past couple of weeks on Port Bay and Middleburg, the two maps with perhaps the most CLEARLY DEFINED metas, the fools will rush into the city and spam "C is loss" as if they had even the slightest clue how to win more than 40% of their battles. Pathetic and infuriating.

At least in the past they'd reluctantly come to the correct side of the map. Now they're stupid, slow, and indignant. And then when you carry them they still cry. No wonder I get provocative communication downvotes.

You must be lucky, I’ve got a whole gallery of screen caps of half or more of my team still in spawn after a minute. They must be getting out the camping gear, gathering firewood or something. :sceptic:

I too have seen more players standing around at spawn for 30 seconds or more. On this forum, some people have said that they like to wait at spawn until a red shows up or they see how green is deploying. The logical consequence is the “monkey see, monkey do” effect where no one wants to move until a majority of the team moves.

What frustrates me is when a call is made, you’d think that people would be relieved that someone is taking charge and follow. It seems like I’m heading out in a heavy on my own more often while the team sits and spins.

Might be related but I’m seeing fewer calls by bad players. They have upped their game to the “sit and wait” pro strategy.

I like to get a pretzel at Auntie Annie’s, then maybe head over to Spencer’s Gifts and look at the bikini posters and stock up on canned farts. Food court is usually a little too crowded.

Why I like fast tanks, not so I can spot, but so I can get away when my team ultimately doesn't go where I do end up spotting them.

With respect to Faust, I prefer to go to the silo side on encounter. On supremacy, it depends a lot more on team make up. If my team has a heavy/TD advantage, I will try to get a coordinated double push on the C/D caps. I also like sidescraping at an angle on the C/D caps putting shots into the window lickers capping the other side.

With respect to teams sitting in spawn, I have noticed an increase in this happening lately.

I also prefer the silo in a tank that is at least moderately fast.  In a heavy, depending on the team, sometimes it's fun to teach noobs how to slug it out on the ramps.  But I've been playing fast tanks recently, so I'm usually going for the silo.  If I can't get anybody to go silo with me, I'll usually try to steal B and then harass the red flanks.

In regards to waiting 30 secs I don't see that.  Of course, I get antsy when guys don't move for 5 secs.  What I do see is way too many tanks trying to play from the back.  We already have too many TD's in every match, if the heavies sit in the back too than your only hope is that red has as crappy a team as you do.

I cannot count how many time I’ve typed “Leave the spawn please” in team chat. I usually wait about 45 seconds before typing it too. Sad really.

As bad as Faust is, it’s better than the new map.

Except at Faust they usually will leave spawn eventually, at least the ones that hang out at the food court. I have more issues getting the mediums and lights to move because more and more they’re just waiting for someone to follow or just play behind the heavies.

The bad thing about the food court is that guys will sit there and wait to get get flanked even when the maim body is spotted on the other side of the map. It’s the same on every map, I spotted and called out a flank while playing a TD at Desert Sands yesterday and moved while asking for everyone to attack. All the responses I got back were Hold Position. I told them they were gonna get chopped up from behind but they still didn’t listen and that’s exactly what happened.  It doesn’t register to most guys that you have to do damage to win and there is no urgency to engage any targets. They’re content to wait because that’s what they’re comfortable with and it keeps them alive the longest.

Skrubs don’t think, they react. They don’t make decisions, they just don’t want to be 1st and don’t want to get shot at. As long as they’re in a spot where they’re not getting shot at they’ve accomplished everything they set out to do. Winning and doing damage is not something they think about. They don’t even realize they’re not playing the game.

THis exactly, it needs to replace “hold position” in hot button chats. :great:
