hi i got a question for any military vets, would it be disrespectful if i were to wear a green cargo pants(no camos as i dont like camo clothes much) with a tactical boot, but my top would be a civilian style clothing(shirt or any normal clothes youd normally wear)?

No. It's not disrespectful. As long as you don't wear the blouse with the U.S. Army or other service taps you should be good (I'm trying to say that you can wear the blouse as well so long as you don't put any patches or name tapes on it).

Of course not, as stated above as long as you're not trying to impersonate a service member. I wear my old bdu's to work on my car and other  jobs, the large cargo pockets and the durability of them, plus the camo hides stains make them perfect as work pants.

Wear what you like, although why anyone would voluntarily wear service boots is beyond me. Those boots are made by the lowest bidder and there are way more comfortable choices in boots available.

I can’t speak for every vet. If you want to wear BDU pants or things like that I don’t care. I only have problems with folks who wear awards, ribbons, medals that they did not earn, or folks who make claim to service that they did not due.

You can wear anything you like lol. If someone has a problem with that outfit then they've got a problem. Just dont wear any official military style awards ribbons medals or specifically try to "look" or "pretend" like you served.

Wear whatcha want; there's no nametapes on pants or anything like that. It'd be weird if you tried to blouse those boots as well but to each their own.

Oh i just have a thing for certain military clothing/equipment l, i have this smith n wesson tactical boot that i just found on big five which has a side zipp(i know the military dont usually like boots with zippies) and i just thought it looked nice and that it’ll make for a good versatile shoe that i can use in any terrain, also i just like the functionality of a cargo pants and i just thought a cargo pants would look off if you wore it with “normal” shoes. I like to sometimes buy or at least have interest in some military grade stuff cause i know its probably good quality and is useful function wise and not because i want to pretend i served or whatever.

Some crusty SNCO's might have the zipper boots simply because they're easier to put on.

"Good quality" is questionable. BDU's were supposedly great to wear, folks who have been in a while will swear by them, but I've yet to see someone praise ABUs. The newer stuff is often made to reduce costs; i.e. the new, new OCPs aren't flame retardant anymore.

Both my brothers are vets. Just wear the pants, the boots, are you kidding me?  I saw a guy with a hat on the other day, it had a patch from a marine detachment, one of my brothers was in, so I started talking to him. Turns out he is just some "pretend I am in the army in his 30's" guy. Probably lives in his mom's basement.

Just be respectful. Wear what you want. Add some heels and send me a pic. ;)

PS My brother the marine was in a group of 10 guys. He is one of two that is still alive. The rest? One in jail, and the rest all suicides.

Any uniform is considered civilian as long as it is not worn correctly.
