Hi forum, with Halloween soon approaching it is time to get down to business on the best tier 10 medium tanks.  Tier X mediums are some of the hardest vehicles to drive in the game, but carry the most rewarding benefits when played with solid foundation.  They are my personal favorite class and house some of my most coveted vehicles.  Despite the generic need for a buff to balance out the spam of tanks like the IS-4 and FV215B, mediums can still be a viable class for the everyday player.

See how things have changed! Found below is the original list for this specific topic, written over a year ago!

What do you think is the best tier 10 medium?  Let me know!

Good stuff DMG, makes putting up with your in-game abuse tolerable.  Indeed Leo gazes longingly at the stb1.   Got 35M credits stashed waiting for a tech tree discount to pull the trigger on the stb1.  I'm sure by the time that happens I'll have a day to play it before it's nerfed.

WZ 121B Is a good tank. It is true what you say about it. The 100mm gun is like you said. I don't have the WZ 121 but I do have the WZ113. How much difference in the gun is their? If you know of the top of your head. Good work as always.

There is a very large difference in the gun between the 121 and 113.

I totally agree. More gun depression too.

That is not to take anything away from the list at all. Excellent work as normal DMG.  o7!

Pretty much what I would say, but like the others above me, I have to disagree with putting the M60 below the M48.

The M60 does not have inferior turret armor to the M48. They're functionally identical, including mantlet thickness, and turret cheek size. The only difference I could find is that underneath the edge of the cupola of the M48, there's a tad more armor than the M60, but it's a very small patch, and is essentially negligible. Any difference people claim to notice is down to the placebo effect.

The side hull of the M48 is definitely better though, but as for the front hull, it's debatable since the M60's flat front hull is more easily angled than the eggshell of the M48.

However, slightly better side hull armor is definitely not enough to compensate the better gun stats and gun depression on the M60.

M60 turret vs. M48 turret vs FV-215b APCR

Honestly, if it weren't for the xenon searchlight on the M60 model, and the skinnier gun, I'm willing to bet money you wouldn't be able to tell the difference

I agree with the placing but not reasoning for the 121 and Progetto. The 65 is extremely good at farming damage and wins at tier 10 in my experience. The full 105 alpha on a 3 shot clip makes it terrifying for any other medium to fight against and has a relatively troll hull and the turret gets Leo PTA style bounces. It may just be because it’s my most recent tier 10 medium but it edges out all my other mediums for top spot by a good margin.

The 121 has always been a pretty fun tank, the aim time is amazing, despite the bloom, and really makes you feel dangerous when you can poke for just over a second and basically be fully aimed. With its DPM boost, A 121 on your flank is pretty scary with potential high 400 alpha shots coming in. That kind of damage from a tank with that mobility is no laughing matter, especially to enemy paper tanks. It’s now also a real threat to other mediums and does it’s job well.

M60’s turret armor is worse than M48’s turret armor truly turns out to be a myth. I’ll definitely take M60 than M48 for having better frontal hull armor, slight gun stats, and gun depression.

Can't wait for you to rank the tier X lights! Not going to choose one until I hear DMG rank them. (I always choose the wrong one)
