Seriously, at times having trouble hitting controls. Thumb print felt smooth so used an ink pad for stamps at work and could not get any finger prints. Is this the onset of mobile game Syndrome?

Maybe I should consult the holy text of the fennel stem powder thread for answers..........

That’s because you still got young man skin.

I have the exact opposite issue.   I can’t feel controls, because the inch thick callus that develops on each hand needs to be shaved down on the regular.   No I don’t file.  I shave it with razor blades.    Lol.

Just google "fennel stem powder", you'll find plenty of info. All the top Twister Cup clans use it.

Various jobs easily wear prints off without gloves, besides prints fading as a person gets older ... but it should not effect using touch devices, though perhaps outer skin thickening and reduced elasticity may mean a reduction in capacitive conductivity?

Haven’t really heard anything from people who are on the tools or wrenching all day, but they do tend to press a bit harder and slower.

I get callouses on my fingertips (from work) and if they build up, it makes my contact with the screen kind of wonky.

When this happens, I take one of my wife's emory boards she uses for her nails and, basically, sand down my fingertips. The fresh skin then makes nice contact again.

if gamers were “outdoorsy” people, we’d be playing real sports and not pixel ones.

Yeah, I'm back. Let's not make a big deal about this.

If you need to clear your fingerprints temporarily, not for committing crimes but maybe you want to touch a bunch of windows without leaving fingerprints, you can put super glue on your fingers.  It probably won't help your game though.
