I have about 200,000 free xp and I was wondering what tank(s) I should research and buy.

I mainly like heavies or Tank Destroyers with derpy guns. I have thought about the German Panthers and the SU 152.

Anyone who has seen the auto factories in Detroit and the oil fields in Texas knows that Japan lacks the national power for a naval race with America - Isoroku Yamamoto.

100x ^^^ this.

Save the freexp for a rainy day or to upgrade a turret and / or gun on a new tank, then grind the rest.

Far better to spend a little freexp on modules, than to skip a grind, use up all your freexp and then be stuck with a higher tier bone stock tank ... finding out the hard way it needs the top gun, and you have no freexp left to even get there part way.

I 100% agree with this. I also learned the hard the way.

Only use your free xp to upgrade a tank that badly needs a certain module to function properly. Never use it to skip a tank unless it's horrible.
