Why does Wargaming censor things like glorified? I don't know, maybe cause they're oversensitive? I typed in a word that isn't cursing or putting someone down like "noob" and it censored it. IT ISN'T A BAD WORD. I was talking about the Matilda being a glorified medium and I couldn't even do that. I have had the problem before where I type in an innocent word and it censors it for some dumb reason. wargaming needs to chill.

1. 8 year olds play this game, they think that if they sensor the cuss words that they wont be exposed to it.

2. Just use "nub"

3.  idk why im doing this

Because you play the game. They don't want to offend anyone so snowflakey that they are offended by not even being allowed to use half of their marginal vocabulary.

I too find that part of this game is problematic since they don’t allow me to use none swearing english words. -_-

WG is simply trying to keep chat clean, so we actually still have chat. We could be stuck with just quick commands.

They have a simple exclude list in chat, some with * in the word to capture people trying to type it with accented characters. ( ì í î )

There are also some words are a swear word, derogatory term, racial slur, ... whether in English or not ...

Some false positives with combined words do exist, and there are some complete head scratchers.

no one is gonna mention that stuff like "[edited]" is allowed in game?  great group of people but why do they not get censored? and stupid stuff does? either remove it or fix it. aka only ban swears.

I would far rather them err on the side of caution than let it be wide open. There are some weird ones out there but I find that the english language is flexible enough that an intelligent and coherent work around is possible.

Most of these posts are incorrect. WG doesn’t give a s*** what you’re “exposed to”. They have to handle tickets related to such words. So, it literally costs them less money to censor words as toxic a** hats continue to find other ways to be immature.

Edit: Also, in my experience, people using the term “snowflake” are precisely that. And, in this game are almost always the immature a** hats as referenced above.

I totally agree that censorship in the realm of gameplay is acceptable, but I received a 5 day chat ban for taking some poor chump to the cleaners when he/she DM’ed me some [edited]about my performance etc.  They heckled me about killing me, which ooooh no! you did what you were supposed to! But I was tired and my mother had just passed away so I wasn’t in the mood to take any guff from some pos so I lit him up.  But it was a DM, not something in game play, so a 5 day ban?!  Wow, didn’t know the WoT crew was sooooo sensitive.   If this guy would have shown up on my property in real life and threw that [edited]at me I’d legally be allowed to shoot him, so WoT really needs to lighten up with the [edited]in DM.  It’s just a game...no need for the players to be so negative, nor the people that run this game to get so uppity about private messages.
