I've been wondering for a while what it is about this game that makes it so atrociously stressful.  After all, I've played other competitive games before and NEVER had those games make me so damn angry.  Counter-Strike, StarCraft 2, Battlefield...You name it, I've probably played it and had great fun doing so.

This game...it can be fun, there's no doubt about that.  There are core game mechanics that are novel, strategy and tactics that take learning and an interesting variety of vehicles to unlock.

But it is inherently(or has become?)a flawed model.  The core motive of the game is not for the player base to have fun.  Rather, it is just a means to an end for a company to continue to derive an uninterrupted profit stream from the player base.  This is the very basis of the game.

This presents numerous conflicts of interest between players enjoying the game and the company continuing to derive profits.  Much of the matchmaking practice, credit earnings coefficient, team-based rewards system and even events now are purposefully opaque AND very easy to manipulate as such.  Notice here I am not feeding into any conspiracy theories, but simply laying a logical framework of the situation for any discerning individual to connect the dots.

By introducing an element of FRUSTRATION into the regular player's mindset, and offering a SOLUTION in the form of pay-to-win stats(you cannot debate this if you have been keeping track of just premium tank stats, not to mention anything towards matchmaking)-you have created an artificial problem with a profit derived answer.  It's a psychological mechanism of control to keep the lab rats pressing a button.

This is why I refuse to pay.  And increasingly it has been occurring to me that continuing to play this game is simply adding to my stress level.  Imagine that-a video game that adds stress to your life.  I realized it long ago, but in reality, WOT and Blitz(and numerous other games following this methodology)are at best a waste of time, and at worst unhealthy for the players.

I have better things to be doing with my life which I should've started long ago.

See you guys, it's been...kinda fun?

Wot Blitz is kinda like Heroin...except theres rehab for Heroin.

What you call frustration I call a challenge.  What you call pay to win I call [edited].  There are plenty of OP premiums but there are plenty of OP tech trees too, wallet not needed for fun or success.  I still think it's a fun game.

Finding the game that is fun for you is always a good decision. Good luck!

Pretty strange that you'd make this thread now, considering that just a few hours ago, you seemed pretty interested in the FCM.

I can agree and disagree. Supercell games, especially clash Royale, make me mad, but most of the time it’s either my fault, or the enemy is better then me. The thing I dislike most about this game is RNG. It can literally and very easily change the course of the battle. Your fully aimed in on the grey? YOU MISSED. The opponent should be a one shot? LOW ROLL. I know it’s needed, but I strongly dislike RNG being able to dictate your shot, and literally say “screw you”. But it can be in your side too which is fun

I agree with most of what you said, but there is no use in ranting about it. This is a subject that many people before you have discussed and concluded that WG is in complete control of where this game goes and there is nothing we can do about it. So even bringing it up is pretty much useless.

I understand where your coming from, but there is no use discussing it. If it's stressful then take a break and play something that's more fun for you.

I think he just discovered capitalism.

Good for him.

Hopefully he comes back to the forums so I can sell him one of my tin foil hats from my Fall line.

I never understand this drama.   The game is like an unhealthy personal relationship for so many folks.   Some of y'all sounding like abused girlfriends.

I get bored with tanks, I play planes, I get bored with the iPad, I play guitar.

Some days I'm just so outshined by the sheer handsomeness of Cletus I can't bear to even sign in, but I only post about that in my sweet-16 blog.

It's a game, not a d!ck.   Don't take it so hard.

WR goes up, time to buy another tank

WR drops, time to quit

Here’s the thing, most people writing threads about leaving actually don’t ...

No arguments from me I'll just add this.

The game is at it's "best" in levels seven and eight, you still get some wildly broken mechanics but for the most part you can have fun.

Nine and ten the game is just about impossible and that is on purpose the best tanks are there and it's made to just drive an average player up a wall while the better players are discouraged for the most part, this is very much like a casino you get too good you get black balled,WG both loves and hates the purple people eaters which a damn weird dynamic...

My best advice is if you want to play avoid nine and ten altogether play seven, eight, and maybe six and five below that they've got some screw ball "for the newbs" on those levels and unless you want to spend a couple hours getting into a match....

Last if you want spend a little cash and play premium only because that's what works best, pretty much ALL of my best and most fun tanks are bought and I'm more and more just having tanks that cost actual $$$ in my garage.

Also if it's possible quit,I want out so bad I can taste it and I have left for up to three months so I will eventually just split, and not post a good bye just be gone.

Cold turkey is good.  But I like cold Pizza and cold fried chicken a whole lot more.

Just leave if you don't like the game, what's with all the drama?

No doubt, I am looking forward to the day after ham & turkey sandwiches.

But cold fried chicken really holds a special spot for me.  When I was a kid we'd take the boat out to the lake for skiing and swimming; the night before my mom would make up big batch of fried chicken so we'd have cold fried chicken for lunch on the boat the next day.  It's one of those flavors from my childhood that just feels like home.
