All I'm gonna say is that if god didn't want me to have it, he wouldn't have given it to me on my 4th crate.

Took me 11 of 12 crates (16,500g). First time buying crates, but i had left over gold from the last event.

I personally can't wait for the tier 8 version of the Smasher, the Smashimup 2000.

That will be in the form of a Japanese TD, probably named Smashima.

Yeah, I'm back. Let's not make a big deal about this.

So supposed to take 20 crates on average, but you should trust that as much as casino slot machines... Not at All.

I would guess more like 2-3% actual probability. And as usual, you might get it on the first crate, or none at all after 200 crates.

WG has very good reasons to provide us with the accurate drop percentage: legality. They may not be required to do it here, but it's a good habit to make.

the comment about needing 20 boxes on average.and the observation that you might not have it after 200. I mean - It’s possible that you could be like one of the 3 in 100k that didn’t.

I'm not seeing any problem with their math concepts. Theoretical probability doesn't always align with experimental probability, sometimes to the extreme!

That said, actual drop rates will inevitably approach the theoretical rate as the number of attempts approaches infinity. 200 is less than infinity though, so 200 boxes without a Smasher is entirely possible (however unlikely) as long as it's drop rate is less than 100%.

Real life lotteries usually have FAR worse probabilities of winning top prizes. I'd say that the lottery is more stealing than these crates: many tickets give zero compensation!

I believe a 5% drop rate for the Smasher is unethical exploitation.
The 1% drop rate for the VK90 was an outright smash and grab, with a little bit of  sexual assault thrown in.

yes but kids can’t buy real lottery tickets, there is some control, and adults are aware that there chances are low, teens see the smasher and they probably spend a lot more money than it’s really worth. They don’t have the patience or wisdom to know that it’s better to wait for it to go on sale.

if 100 000 people bought 200 crates each only 3 of them would not have a smasher. And you have a greater than 50% chance of winning one (or more) if you open 14 crates.

Id argue that anyone willing to throw away their money in the low-chance lottery lacks wisdom, but has exceeding patience. Plenty of adults are blinded by the manipulation of marketing practices.

You have to be 13 to play this game, at which point you are no longer considered "a kid" legally according to COPPA. If a kid is playing this game, they do so against the EULA. If a kid is old enough to make their own money at this point (i.e. teens, young adults), they are expected to be rational enough to know when they are being sold something.

If a legally defined kid is using money to purchase things ingame, then they are not only in violation of the EULA, but they probably got the money from their parents. This makes the purchase the parent's fault as they are responsible for their impressionable child.

That's covering a lot more than what you mentioned, but generally im saying that teen vs adult purchasing behavior may not hold as much water as you think. I think it'll be a case-by-case kinda thing. Once you have income, whatever your age, it's time to learn financial responsibility. That said, buy whatever you want, I'm not your mom.

Bought 3.= Nothing worthwhile. On the positive side- It should keep me from playing The game for at least another week or 2.

I absolutely despised crates when they first were introduced. When the T22 came out in crates in September I broke down and bought the $10 bundle and got the tank.   Then, when the sheriff came out I bought the $10 crate bundle for that.  I got that tank also.   Just spent 3000 gold on the small bundle and got the smasher.   I still hate crates but crates don’t hate me back.

I had some gold from christmas event and figured I could waste some of it by getting some premium time certs, free xp and frustration. I got the 3 crates for the price of 2 pack and got the Smasher in the second crate.

.

.

It is time, once again, to show the world that, when in the right hands, no tank is OP.

The existence of the smasher disgusts me.  The design looks like its done by some seven year old redbull-addled brat who just watched Mad Max.  The accuracy is crazy, the pen is insane, the spaced armor is trollish, and its heckin' OP.  Course' a bunch of people want it now, and of course WG would shove it in a crate.  And im just salty I bought five crates and didnt get it yet
