I need a lot of wins as fast as possible. Should I try my best in each match or rush the enemy and go out quickly with a bang and repeat the process. I'm leaning more towards yolo rush but I'm not certain it's faster. With rushing the point is to quickly die and hop on the next tank and repeat it.

Yolo rush doesn't work if your team doesn't yolo rush with you. You should be farming damage off of your teammates, and allowing your teammates to farm off of your armor,  HP,  spotting etc.

To answer your question more directly, if your yolo rush isn't your best work, you shouldn't be doing it. You should ALWAYS be trying your best. Please don't throw yourself away just to get through games quickly. That's selfish and amateur.

The best thing you can do is play in a tank you are VERY comfortable in, and know how to use to its fullest extent.  Be it a light, medium, Heavy, or a slow turretless TD, whatever tank you excell in should be your go to.

Also play with a goal in mind.  "Im going to take only half my HP in damage, and give 1.5 of my HP in damage." is a good one, as it encourages you to play smart and take less risks that might not pay out.  And platooning with a competent teammate or clanmate doesn't hurt.

You also can, and this is completely up to you, turn on same control mode.  It will match you against people using the same system as you are, be it keyboard and mouse or touch controls for mobile.  This means you don't have people on PC clubbing Mobile users as often, and could mean you face similarly skilled players with an even skill floor.

I’ve noticed a strong lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?

No, it is not. This problem will solve itself with time. Many players have several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, so they don’t have enough Spare Parts for the entire vehicle fleet. But you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

I'm only planning on doing it for the current event. Are you saying we get fewer wins if we yolo rush as opposed to trying our best?

The twisted math on this is straightforward and the implications are evident.

If you have a poor WR when playing regularly, then YOLO rush/die/rinse/repeat works out in your favor as volume is your only approach. Since you're a player with a bad WR, your death does not impact the match as much as it would if you were a regular contributor.

If you have a decent WR and regularly contribute in battles, then the YOLO rush mitigates your coins/hour.

No matter your WR, the YOLO rush for a grind is a ridiculous tactic. WG has previously used checks such as minimum XP, but those are more about preventing serial AFK. In this particular event, a reasonable approach by WG would be to award coins to the 5 highest XP players on the winning team and to the 2 highest XP players on the losing team. This cuts off yolo and afk to an extent and rewards those that fight their damndest and lose.

Probably, yes. By surviving longer, you're going to have more games that are wins. Yolo rushing may output more games overall, but you may not earn victories any faster. You're then relying on your team to pull your weight for you, which puts your team at a disadvantage everytime.

Math time.

Lets say on average if you try your best in any old tank you are a 50%WR player. And it is taking 3 minutes per battle assuming you are competent to survive to near the end most times (I know, ludicrously too large). And let's say an average of 30 seconds to hit Battle again and actually have MM put you into a match and it starts. (I know, ludicrously too short, why have MM take 5 seconds like it used to when it can take a minute or longer). So on average 3.5 minutes per battle. So to get 10 wins takes 20 battles on average, and 20 * 3.5 = 70 minutes of hard-core non-stop play (no hanging out in garage replying to all the friendly advice).

If you run fast lights and just yolo (and ram, don't forget to ram), you can get yourself killed in well under a minute, so lets call that 30 seconds. You were effectively AFK. Lets say your average WR as the world's yolo-est yolo is 30% as sometimes the other 6 on your team carry you to victory. But you only take 1 minute per battle! So to get to 10 wins takes about 33 battles. That only take 33 minutes!

Even if we assume only 25%WR when being a super-unicum of yoloers, it will take 40 battles to get to 10 wins. Still only 40 miinutes.

If you want a lot of quick wins (and whole ton of losses), yolo is your path to success. And as others have stated, you will have the undying hatred of everyone else involved.

Oh and you lose a ton of credits repairing your tank a lot.

I'm pretty much an exclusive SOLO YOLO mad rusher, and my thumbs up are 3 times higher than my thumbs down. 300 VS 100. And I am purple, not that I care about MH at all, I don't.:playing:

But having said that, the answer to the question in the OP, is that if winning is the main priority, then playing good is the better solution.:izmena:

I did a small experiment late last night where I decided to behave and just try to play good and having winning as the priority and 8 matches in a row were wins, mostly in tier X.

It all depends what somebody's priorities are. I find driving around like it's mario cart to be more satisfying than winning sometimes, so that's what I choose to make my priority.:justwait:

Yolo rush = fewer wins since it's barely better than an AFK player but yes it will cut down your time. In the end it's a wash since you blow more games and you'll have to play more to make up for it. If that is the account you're playing the event with your only tier 5 has a 25% WR in it so what you're doing now isn't working. You aren't yolo rushing now (you survive 42% of your battles and very low spot rate) so trying that isn't going to help either.
Skip the event, stay in tier 3, please.

Because if you get too many negative votes in a short amount of time you CAN get a temporary ban.

No one ever downvotes someone who yolos and dies.

Never happens, ever.

People downvote the last one alive.

The last one alive, is always the real cretin.

I'm going to give this a shot.

I want to see how many live games I can get going at once.

Play for the win or don’t play at all.

And, I sincerely hope that much like any event it also requires XP ... so if you yolo rush die / afk ... you are going to lose 66% of the time, if not more and will get zip nada for your «  effort «

AFK in Rating Battles is rampant. Around 1.5 per game today. Not an efficient method, but people will dump into games and then close the app. Good times. WG could and should easily fix this.
