So I’ve been looking through some older posts, and it seems that a lot of people dislike these two American muscles. Why is that?

I don’t have the M6 yet, but my platoon mate has it and says it’s just like the T1 Heavy. I love the T1 Heavy. The gun is great, you can ram like no other tier 5, and if you can get your lower hull plate hidden, you will rule! I’ve had some great battles in it.

Is it just me, or is are disliked and why? If you dislike them, why? If you love them, tell me your favorite features!

I dunno.  I have neither but I was just in a battle with Both on my team...And they were God awful.  I don't know if they are tanks you have to know how to play or what, but I've seen a few games where they are either great or really bad.  Could be the "unskilled" players think they know how to run them??

I don’t know either. They have a lot of weak spots, like the sides of the turret, the sides of the tank, the back, and the lower plate on the front hull, but they are a terror to deal with if they’re in your face. The ramming is awesome. I can drive fast in my T1, ram a KV-1S, take out 180 health, and it only damage my tracks. The speed is nice too. It must the players.

I am guess you never played the unbuff verson of t1 heavy tank.

People that don’t like them are trying to play them as brawling heavies. They are not. But they are reasonably mobile with good guns and more armor than a med. need to be med back up (cause your slower) and a second line gun.

When was that? I played the T1 Heavy yesterday, rammed a KV-1S, and it didn’t hurt at all. I still love it. Was the unbuff version a long time ago? If so, do people just not want to try it again?

By brawling do you mean charge up and get in someone’s face? If they’re as tall as you, it could work. I just love the ramming capabilities. They are sweet.

T1 Heavy is very easy for me too play now. Working on M6 but at these higher tiers people wise up to APCR and can pen the entire front. A SU-152 can HEAT shell the entire front as if it knew no such thing as armor!

Before the buff, I remember putting AP rounds through the turret front of a hull down M6.  So things have definitely improved for that tank.

I recently got the M6 and have ground it through mad games. As the time of writing this post  have played 59 battles and have fully researched all modules, average about 900 dmg per battle, and have a 60% WR in it. Of course I'd hope that over time as I learn it more I get even better in it. I play it more cautiously than the T1 Heavy but t is very nice and under rated.

Most T1 players drive it as a MBT going against a Sherman, so they expose the lower plate frequently and so I just punch 122mm holes  in it in my Kv1s every 17 seconds while backing around a corner.

I absolutely love my T1 Heavy, I got a 1v5 kolo in it (even against a sealclubber in a DW 2) and I just got the M6. I feel like I am going to love the American heavy line if I love the T1 so much...

Got T29, ok so far for a stock tank. Just researched gun, next will be turret then engine as its slow.

Currently playing both the T1 and M6, pretty much like tanks, better in the T1, same or top tier tank does well bottom tier it can be rough.

T1 tier for tier is much more OP than the M6. The M6 is just a really soft target for tier 7 tanks and not many people who rush up to the M6 learn how to hull down properly. In fact most players do not learn how to hull down until they get the T29.

These tanks look good to me.

 

In my opinion, the T1 used to be a much more fun (and much more OP) tank before they nerfed its mobility. But it was still strong and they recently buffed its frontal armor. They buffed the M6's frontal armor at the same time. Keep enemies in front of you and use their gun depression, and you can do well in these tanks. Get derped in the side and you will have regrets.

M6 I stay back in T7 battles. It is a softer taret than T1 so I don't play it as aggressively.

How do I pull my stats up like you did? Copy&paste didn't work pulling up color.

I platooned the last few battles in the T1 to keep it at 80% but most of that was solo. 

 

I pulled my stats up by being a filthy reroll lol.

I went super aggressive in my M6 yesterday... got 2.5k bounced from t7 su144’s and Kv2’s

Before I had a chance to play them, I considered them "dumb boxed tanks" for their look and also based on not so good players that drove them.

 

Now after I used them both I can say both are excellent tanks. I like them a lot. If higher tier, I play aggressive. If lower, pay more attention to the situation, and go from there.

I had T1 in two accounts, and rocked in both. Yesterday I grabbed M6, and ... lol... Aced it in 3rd battle at 79% of crew (almost 3K damage). Second Ace came in 11th battle. 91% of WR. Done with XPs for T29. XP grinding went fast thanking to x5 multiplier.
