You can't WG decided to nerf the KV1 and now it's made of rolled dog poop. If a Leo finds you he will make Swiss cheese or of you .
Working as intended. Wait for a heavy buff when they introduce Allahuacbar missiles in tier 4
Ghosting reds since 2014

theres no really GOOD way. if you have the Tiger (P), same idea with the frontal, just much, much less. poke out while angling your front alot, main thing about KV-1 is dont get too close. you dont have the gun depression to deal with other KV-1s, i recommend either camping or holding back with the mediums in T6 battles, and try to find hard cover in T5s. try reverse sidescraping, as your turret armor is... not VERY good, but it can bounce shots. (think KV-1S turret) see if you can find a hull-down or peek-a-boom position where you can, (At the very least) trade shots with your high hp pool and alpha dmg. if you dont like the KV-1, then you may not like KV-1S.. its got slightly more armor, and a gun that deals much more alpha, with an (almost) doubled reload. KV-2 is, again, primarily a trading tank, although it has better side armor than the KV-1 ,(75mm sides compared to 37mm sides) though the 107mm gun CAN be competitve... but honestly the 152mm gun is SO much better lol
edit: i just looked at your stats... why did i write this again?

It really is a sad turd on tracks now. Less armor, less mobility. You will never be able to block 5K damage again. (Ok, reds being terrible helps)
Bias Much? KV-1 blocks 5,525 damage / 6 kills / T34-1 2809 dmg Kolobanov replay on Mines

I agree. Before one of the updates that took out some tanks (Ex: KV-13, Churchill GC, and our lovely jumbo) I had the kv, and she was reliable as hecc, good frontal (I think) and a decent gun. (Idk when the 190 gun came out) but still, pretty reliable. But then when they removed a bunch of the tanks, I played once or twice in it and got clapped playing the way I usually did. Now, I think I know why they named it’s camo “legendary” because it‘s good armor is now a legend.

The ghostbusters use my shells as carriers.

I angle at 45 degrees, gets plenty to trolling bounces as people shoot the tracks and or miss the small upper plate.
if there is a small hill or building, side scrape off of it...East till they bounce off your thick tracks and then pull out and slap them with your 85 mm gun
its still a wonderful tank...fun

Get the American T1 Heavy. Be careful at first. It's the new KV-1.

Already have it and I love it. A steel wall basically every battle. It makes me laugh when a leopard unloads a clip into my turret for no damage at all. I am going to grind the US heavy line and this will be a jewel in my garage.

You can still sidescrape with the KV1 using the wide tracks.
