I am absolutely loving the T1 heavy, I have found major hull down spots where I can rule the battlefield. I got a 1v5 kolobanov mastery with it against a 52% sealclubber and others. I just have one question, is the rest of the American heavies this good? Because I absolutely love this tank.

Yes! The T1 Heavy is my favorite tier 5 too. I don’t know about the rest, though.

Yes, until you get to tier 10.

yes, until tier VIII its pretty much the same thing - heavy hitting guns with good pen, stronk turrets and decent hulls... and then you see the T32 and think "how does this fit in at all with the T1, M6, and T29?" well, it used to.. now its the lightly armored american heavy after that insanely OP american heavies, and before the really good tier IX american heavy.

Thanks all, another question. Is the M6 basically the same as the T1 heavy? Or does it have to be a bit more passive? I have been checking it out on armor inspector and the turret armor, while still being good, can be penned by most TD and tier 7 guns. Is this true?

From all I’ve seen, it’s practically the same. The weak spots are the same: lower front plate, sides, back, and sometimes the side and back of the turret depending on your gun strength. You can do the same strategy as you would in the T1 Heavy. Ramming works just as well. 

As for it being penned by all those guns, it depends on where you shoot.

Gosh I had to retire my T1 Heavy as I was feeling a little bit dirty demolishing teams in tier 5 in it and now you're telling me it's getting another buff?!? 

There needs to be a support group for T1 Heavy addicts...

I got 390+ battles in it, I'm not retiring it any time soon as I have a 67% WR in it. Hell, I know some one with 6800 battles in it!

I've been going up the German line, and I'm grinding the StuG. The T1 Heavy is definitely the seal-clubber of choice for many tier V platoons. 

 

It's not getting a HP bonus in 6.10, but the tier VI heavies are. It will remain to rule top-tier matches.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

 

I'm also entitled to tell you that you are absolutely wrong. The only advantage the KV-1 has is alpha (damage per shot). The T1 has better penetration, damage per minute, gun handling, mobility and armor.
