How should I play the T49? I'm about to research it and I then need to grind credits. What equipment slots should I get and how to play this tank. I was thinking I would get the credits to make the crew 75% trained and to have 60% HEAT and 40% HE when I get the derp gun.

Judging by your stats, I think I know what the forum crew will suggest. Something along the lines of "not ready yet". And please don't blast your way up the tiers to 9 & X.

I think you should slow down and work at tier 6 in a medium for a while. Learn the maps, strategies, and tank strengths. The T49 is going to be a struggle .

I wanted to get the T49 because of the derp gun and better mission rewards though I will play some more tier 5-7 battles.

All of them are pretty good. The T-34-85, Cromwell, and M4A3E8 are all excellent tanks to start figuring out playstyles and strategies that will benefit you as you move up the tiers.

There used to be several 105mm derps in tier 4-7. Most of them were removed but as far as I remember the vk28.01 light tank still has it. It might be in too high of a tier to deal massive surprise damage like the t49's 150, but it will help you learn to find the right spots to shoot at to deal maximum damage.

Frankly the low tier lights are a pretty good trainer for the upper tier ones. Tier 3-4 lights are penned by everything. Play them till you can consistently last till near end of battle. :bush:

This game can be analyzed through so many lenses.

t49 relies on 3 things :

1- game meta / situational awareness. Know where people go, why, who, for which intent, at all times. This is built upon huge amount of experience. It isn’t written anywhere. You could use heatmaps to get used to the meta, but still once on the field it takes time.

2- HE. He and heat use different mechanics, and both are quite not obvious. You need to know which ammo to use where on what tank, and you need to select them before even you plan your approach to target. Yes, I said plan.

3- stealth viewrange and camo. Those are some of the most mysterious things in game. Once you play with them, you can make attacks for which you won’t get punished

Did I mention t49 is seemingly the most expensive tank to run ?
Even as a decent player I need a game of my top premium tank earning credit to play a game in the T49 and get a flat credit bottom line.

From memory, running the t49 exclusively could get you lower for as much as 1M credit per afternoon of play

The best tier 6 medium to use is actually a heavy.. the VK36.01H, which has better armor and is faster than 90% of the tier 6 mediums (51 kph)

Just my opinion..

The T49 has a 80% credit coefficient

You should definitely play the t49 as soon as you get it. It is my all time favorite tank to run. Be warned though, I hated the tank with its first 100 battles because of the perceived unreliability, but when you learn how hard you can push it, you can do things not a single tank can do (760 alpha hit and run).

dude, people come here to help you, me included

I’m telling you t49 is the most credit loser in the entire game.

believe me.

your account has 1985 battles.

i have 3000+ battles playing T49 alone on 2 accounts combined.

I used to have a press test account, and I played 2000 battles in one month.

when that tank came out you could break the game in seconds, I couldn’t stop playing it. After 800 battles I had spent so much gold converted to credits, eventually I was going to sink the press account bankrupt, and instead I premiumized the T49. That’s like 40 dollars, not counting all the gold I spent earlier into credits (never do that btw, it’s only because it was free and I thought my press account was So loaded it was virtually unlimited, which I proved wrong).

months later I bought it for my personal  account (euro server, minitelrose), on which I have 996 battles in the tank, of the later, post nerf version. I need to run the best credit maker in the whole game an alternate both tanks to stay even.

heck I played only those three for last  month :T49, amx1357(premium), lekpz(premium, top earner together  with Lowe) for entire month, and I only gained 100k credits, which is 2 games worth of credit earning. And I’m a good player, making tons of dmg on which revenue is based.

you want to buy it , fine. But your account  will go bankrupt by the end of the afternoon, and your succes rate will be in the 30s. Be glad if you hit one shot per game.

that tank is fun, there is a ladder to climb before, if you want to be successful, everyone here is telling you the hard truth to help you.

hmm looks like I got tilted, but it’s for a good cause I think?

edit: I read that somehow you meant to confirm me saying it was horrible. Sorry I misread the tone in your post. Internet and all that.

760 is not a good shot. I got some shots way past the 1000s into the 1200s.

it took me more than playing 1900 battle in low tiers to achieve that anyways.
