$5 is not bad, but I have a long history of not giving WG money (going back to 2016) and it is worth more to me to continue keeping my wallet closed on principle.

make sure you thank the people that do spend money. letting you take your righteous stand and play for free and all.

NAD’s has a lot of premium tanks - he’s spent his fair share over the years.
Perhaps you should sit back and read first rather than jumping in here and sticking your foot in your mouth.

OK, I just thanked those I know who spend (C6 tops the list of those I know).

And I looked in the mirror and thanked that handsome chap for what he spent prior to November 2016.

I used to be free to play, then I grew up and realized the devs are just like me. They need money to pay the rent. So I started buying reasonably priced things to help keep the lights on. I don't mind paying for the things I enjoy.

I used to be free to play, then the corona virus hit and I don't have to pay daycare, plus I got lazy and don't want to grind anything anymore, so I started spending.

If a person feels powerless or insignificant in their life, the easiest way to achieve power is to make other people angry; every internet troll has known this since 1993 and every toddler has known it since the dawn of time.

You're still paying for day care, it's just for yourself now! :teethhappy:

You should make your kids pay for their own daycare. Then they would learn to appreciate it.

The kids daycare mostly involves teaching them how a weed eater works.

We actually talked about this at dinner the other night.  My little girl was telling me about her dreams to be an influencer/model to start, and then president, while my boy wants to have a farm and 2018 chevy truck.  I told them that whoever gets the richest should plan on their mother and myself moving in with them, and how much support we'll need to keep up the lifestyle we have planned.  I didn't go into the edited: very adult nature of that lifestyle, but it won't be cheap.

My kids, 8 & 12 both got lessons on how to push the mower around the yard.  Damn close to the happiest day of my parental life.

My girl is 8 and my boy is 10, he's real close to getting ready to start helping but not quite yet.  I'm not ready to turn him loose on the zero turn or with my monstrous weedeater.  I need to buy a little battery powered one for him.....

I have one child out of 4 that I have any hope of surviving adulthood, the others likely won't make it another year. The boy is lucky if he makes it another week.

My 10yr old boy can drive my mower - but he can’t reach the brake - so he’s only good for donuts on a flat part of the yard.
The 8yr old girl just goes straight (and after the wife saw that one it didn’t go well for me...).

I figure I’m two years away from free lawn care at the least.

The wife is the real limitation on getting the boy started.  I started to tell her she was fine with the four wheeler so why not the mower, but I realized I'd be encountering redhead logic, so I just went outside and did the lawn myself.

Nice!

I started mowing lawns when I was 9. Dad did the weedeating I did the mowing (mostly). Started with 1 yard. Fast forward 2 years and I was able to do the weedeating/edging myself while he watched. Time I was 12 I was able to go down the street by myself with them checking in. Now, 7 years after I started mowing my 1st lawn customer (who I still have) I have 10 customers that are regular and can edge a straighter  line faster with the weedeater than the pro's. I enjoy it, yard work is peace time for me now, by time I'm done mowing my ears are just barely ringing so I can walk around with out having to hear anyone inside the house(Kidding, I should use it as an excuse though).

Congrats on the kids learning, encourage them to start their own business; they pay for everything expense wise such as gas and string, assuming you have the equipment already. The benefits for you & them would be them learning work ethic, communicating with clients, and not having to give them an allowance! Starting with 1 customer is better than none, have them practice  on your' yard 1st though and pay them. :) They'll learn a lot and it is definitely something you should look into. I saved my money real young knowing I would want a truck (1979 F150 to be exact) Fast forward and I have a 1995 F150 Manual 4x4 that I payed 3k for in cash. Not the '79 but close enough with the same Inline 6 engine;) I'm sure you can agree that its better for your kid to cough up the money than you for a car!
