So thanks to being laid off due to Covid, I've had some extra time to play Blitz, like alot of others.  Unfortunately one thing(besides the player base) is making life difficult to play.  My wife's [cat] keeps getting in the way!

Here's examples of what I'm talking about....

Spoiler

Dam cat makes it impossible to play.  Anyone else having outside interferences?

I have just so much to say about your wife's.....cat.  But I shan't, in the interest of good taste.

I installed a cell phone booster and now have a fast enough connection to play at home!  Usually, sometimes.  So I can play more, but about a third of the time my connection goes in and out, leading to ridiculous lags and glitches.  I can still drive to the tower as I used to, but being able to sometimes play at home makes the trip to the tower three times as much of a pain in the butt to me.

So, it is an expensive cat?

My cats don't bug me too much while playing, though the youngest one chewed through a headset line once. Have to keep that one away from cords!

My current interference: not having any home alone time any more or prolonged idle time to play anything.

Yes it's a Ragdoll?  And talk about chewing?  He has eaten ear plugs, a Spatula, Plastic Bags are his thing, half a dozen usb charging cables, any fake or real plants.  Once we caught him with his head in a disposible tin we put used grease drippings in.

But the wife Loves him soo much...yeesh!

Tons of cables and lots of plants ... only one they really disturb is catnip.

I have probably a mile of cable out between four spaces, accessible to cats, since they so easily squeeze between desks, racks, shelves, ...

Cats acting like rodents that they're supposed to exterminate would not go over well at all !

I'm still teaching the little one the word NO!

The older ones listen quite well and are pretty harmless.

^^^^^^  Too Funny!  If the wife catches me yelling at "Monty" she'll start crying.

And you know what happens when any pet eats stuff they shouldn't...let's just say I gotta clean it!

Well, I will say the wife’s cat is always a distraction, and a key part of all kinds of bad decisions.....

For those unmarried or younger people out there, if there's anything to take away from this thread it's this - happy wife = happy life.

Plus Happy Wife = Time for Blitz

Though lately less Blitz might be better?

I really started playing when I was on the road for work a lot, so Blitz was a safer alternative than going to the hotel bar. For me, Blitz was a much wiser decision!

I know?  I guess I'm the only Blitzer who is getting distracted/interfered with while trying to play.

I generally either play in my home office or the bathroom.
Our oldest lab sleeps on my feet (in both locations).
When I try to play elsewhere I have a 93 lb 2yr old Chocolate Lab that will try to eat the iPad or play lap dog and sit on it, or now that we have a 12 week Yellow lab she will also try to emulate her older sister and try to jump on me too.

Then one adds kids and wife - hence my game locations are now pretty much limited.
