**Disclaimer: This is all my opinion and you may have your own opinon. Also, just because these tanks look hideous doesn't mean that they aren't good. Most of the tanks in the line below are at least above average if not really good tanks.

I don't know about other people in WOT Blitz but I care about a tank's asthetics. A good looking tank is usually more enjoyable for me than one that looks absolutely horrid. I'm pretty open-minded about how tanks look, and I understand that in real life the fighting capability of a tank is its top priority and not its looks. Even so, there's a tank line in the game that is straight-up-ugly in my opinion.

The British TD Line (cue the British Grenadiers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGrxHO-B2TY)

Not all of the tanks in this line look bad, and the Alecto and the FV215b look pretty good in my opinion.

Tier IV Alecto:

Looks kinda cute in my opinion.

Tier X FV215b

This tank honestly doesn't look too bad either.

But the rest of the line looks hideous:

**Note: I can't seem to publish images so feel free to look up the tanks on your own.

The Tier V: AT-2

Honestly, the best-looking worst tank. It just looks like a sad lump of steel.

The Tier VI: AT-8

This abomination is just terrible. Who the heck designed this thing? This thing has an offset gun, what appears to be a flamethrower on the right, and an auto cannon on the left, plus its own AA platform on top. Honestly disgusting. Moving on.

The Tier VII: AT-7

OH GOD WHY?!?!?!? Wasn't the previous tank bad enough?!?!? This thing looks absolutely terrible. Moving on.

The Tier VIII: AT-15

Meh. This tank at least has symmetry but it doesn't look anywhere close to good by any means.

The Tier IX: Tortoise

Same as the Tier VIII but with a bigger gun.

Honorable mention: AT-15A

Same as the AT-15

So there you have it, the ugliest tanks in the game in my opinion. Feel free to comment below what you think are the ugliest/best looking tanks in the game!

IMO the VK 168.01 (P) looks uglier than the AT 7. Just my opinion, you don't have to agree with it.

Agreed, that line looks horrible and it isn't fun to play at all.

Agreed. The Maus doesn't look that great in the first place and then they basically switched the turret around ending in that abomination.

I think the ugliest tanks were some of the early ones. M3 Lee, the bathtub, alecto, mk1, etc.

Question, what is the "bathtub" tank? I've heard a lot of people refer to it and I have quite no idea what it is.

I think it's pretty superficial to rate tanks based only on their looks.  That's how tanks develop body dysmorphia, eating disorders, and stripper-ish behavior.  Next you'll be ranking them by weight....

The bathtub is a term used to describe a open top td. In 2020, the bathtub can be used to describe the S35 CA.

Well, the Maus and VK 72 could really lose some weight and tanks like the UE-57 just look anorexic by comparison. :teethhappy: They got to eat more. I think the best weight for tanks is around 20-60 tons.

AT7 I  call it my pinkie.

in part inspired by minime talking to his pinkie in Austin powers, I guess.

t29. Took me a very long time to understand how they could design such an ugly turret and then paste it on a hull so bland.

best looking tank. For the first 3 years I thought is-3 was really the most handsome. I even liked how it moved so low to the ground and the turret so forward, it made as if the gun was leading the way and the rest followed with snake-ish movements.

pretty much all russian tanks are sexy, the design and purpose are very clear, no weird bumps anywhere, always looks very efficient. Plus, low to the ground and sexy turret that always match the hull.

what else is ugly ? Tier9 Italian thing. It’s a good tank in blitz, but seriously that hull and that turret were done separately by people who didn’t like each other. The turret is like a british scifi from the late 40s , made with clay, and the hull like some mockup from an engineering school in the mid 60s, using only cardboard.

some prewar french designs are pretty ugly, and when I say pretty ugly, I mean definitely more on the ugly side than on the pretty side. it might culminates with the stock ARL40. The full equipped one is slick, in its weird way. And the stock barn-micro house might appeal  some of the millennials. We need to note that fv4005 and fv183 and a few more tanks have takes this style as well and upped it to a price, but in ridicule just as in beauty, there is nothing like the original.

spic. I hardly can picture it as a tank. Supposed to do the same job as the amx13. Excuse me, one looks like a race car and the other like a fridge with a gun glued to it...

hmmm let me think. Ugly.

shhh

they are a little self conscious about it.
I even heard they are on a diet.

Weird. I'm the opposite. i think the is3 is a very ugly tank and the t29 is a very good looking tank.

Not sure about the ugliest line, but there are a few really ugly tanks. Here’s a few that come to mind -

ARL 44 stock - looks like a lego tank designed by a 5 year old

FV4005 - reminds me of one of those airport trams with the accordion connectors

AMX 50 100 - big body, little head

Challenger - hate the proportions on it

Hafen - goofy looking M4 wannabe

VK28.01 - looks like a kid’s block of wood; hate the proportions on it regardless whether it’s a great tank or not

The early french tds are hideous imo. Both fochs are alright but the don’t compensate for the whole line.

Why is this a debate? The Lupus will never be matched for ugly.
