A question I get asked a lot by my friends is why I play World of Tanks Blitz instead of World of Tanks PC, especially since I used to play World of Warships on PC. Basically, what brought you into WOT Blitz and why do you play it over WOT PC?

For me, I like WOT Blitz for a number of reasons:

1. I like mobile versions of games. Don't get me wrong, I have a perfectly capable PC that can run games like War Thunder, Subnautica, etc. no problem. It's just that I prefer the simplified mechanics of mobile games. (I play WOT Blitz mostly on PC, but you get the idea.) Also, most mobile games are cheaper than their PC equivalents, such as PUBG Mobile, which helps when you have Asian parents who don't buy video games for you :honoring:

2. Mobile was my first console. The first gaming device I was introduced to from my childhood was an Ipad and as such I've played more mobile games than pretty much every other console.

3. WOT Blitz doesn't have arty. Arty sucks.

4. Cool youtubers/community.

5. Easier grind.

+/-1 mm

No arty (missiles don't even come close to being as bad as arty)

Less far down powercreep road (279e where you at)

WoT blitz is better than WoT PC imho because no arty and +/- 1 mm.

I used to play Wot, but the tech tree was intimidating and I wanted a more simple game.

No, I’m not defending German technical superiority, I’m stating the ****ing obvious!

I used to be an unicum in WOT PC but then i took an arrow in the knee...

Seriously tho, i like the short battles and the fact that i could play anywhere with no major technical issues or having to set up a console or PC.

Played WoT on XBOX with my uncle. Absolutely had a blast playing around with the T1 Cunningham and T82 (before it was converted into a tier 4 arty) and decided to look for WoT on the Playstore only to find WoTB. Fast forward almost 5 years later (played since October 2015) and still going strong for Blitz.

Found it randomly in 2016. Played up to the M4 Sherman. Quit.

Found again in 2017, new account, played 10k battles and quit.

Found again in 2019. Now I'm here.

I was one of the top players worldwide in another game and was bored.. heard from some players there that this was challenging and not another air combat game like it was so I thought I would give it a try.

Saw it on the appstore way way back but couldnt get it for some reason. Got a new phone in 2018 and decided to try it out. First few months was pretty clueless, but then as usual, I got interested in something else. Picked it up less than once a month randomly. (Also decided to download WotPC in early 2019) As of a few months ago, I had 400 battles on both WotPC and Bltz, but since my iPad is much more accesible than my laptop, I decided to spen the 14 days of quarantine premium on blitz, And i wanted to finish the Maus grind as i was only at vk30. Well, That was quick, have the maus and am 100k expirience away from getting my 2nd tier x!

I do not have a single clue what I'm doing. You have a problem with that?

I was bored, so I sacrificed a chicken and called to the gods for guidance.  The next night a Raven appeared and led me to wotb in the play store.

If a person feels powerless or insignificant in their life, the easiest way to achieve power is to make other people angry; every internet troll has known this since 1993 and every toddler has known it since the dawn of time.

It was a raven? Not an eagle?!?

I found this game before I even knew about WOT PC. I’ve always been a WW2 buff and interested in tanks from that era. After looking into both games thoroughly, WoT pc’s game structure seems to be inferior and unappealing imo. Takes longer to grind lines/build your garage. Premiums are more expensive. The crew system adds unnecessary complexity. “Improved equipment” or whatever they call it combined with the crew system creates an even more massive performance gap between vets and new players which fosters seal clubbing. Arty is a plague and incites campy gameplay. Etc. Blitz fixes all of these problems. I feel that the ratio of investment to reward is much more appropriate and it’s just overall a better version of the game. WoT PC has things that I want to see in Blitz, but we will get there in time. Overall, the game has always been steadily improving and growing. (Even though missiles suck massive bags o’ richards. More missile nerfs are coming so we’re moving in the right direction.)

I foung the game a long time ago probably in 2014-2015. I was 8 or 9 at that time and didn't know what an account was. It got boring and I stopped.

Fast forward to 2017. I find it again while scrolling through purchsed apps in the app store. I downloaded it again and made an account with help from my parents.

I was immediately hooked and fell in love with tanks and just about any tracked or armored vehicle. I haven't stopped playing since then.

TL; DR: I got bored and downloaded an old game.

Around 2016 I was travelling for work all the damn time and discovered all kinds of free games for my iPad. Most decent games are horribly P2W or have some restrictions for free players. Buying more "plays" for example. Fair enough, these are not charities but getting into them can really suck a lot of $$$. Anyway a gaming buddy from another game kept telling me to try Blitz so I did. No restrictions on play time. Little to no P2W factor. Yes this has creeped up lately but compared to many mobile games it's still very light.

Why not WoT PC? I did try it for a little while. Complex crew system that adds little to gameplay. No sixth sense means you know you're spotted when your hitpoints disappear. It's no wonder the game is so campy. Struggle to even afford module upgrades once unlocked. Using prammo would burn any credits I had. Even just using a kit had to be carefully weighed, worth the cost or should I just die and hope the next battle will be better?

I realised that I was at such a huge disadvantage, I'd be cannon fodder for many thousands of battles. Or I could roll out in Blitz driving a tank on par with the next guy even as a F2P. Ok I might lose, but only because my skill was deficient, not my tank. That's a big deal for me.
