So first of all the tier 8s i have are the cent 1, caernarvon, t34, is-6, t69 and fv304

But looking at the states the mediums all fall into the same trap as the centurion in that they're low dpm and alpha support tanks whos only role is to deal damage. And while heavies are fairly dominant they have horrendous dpm so it takes minutes for that to actually change the battle at all.

And with both you play aggressive and feel like you're putting in work only to look up and realise you've barely scratched past the hp worth of 1 tank.

I haven't played TDs but they aren't overly intrusive

While light tanks are ridiculous and can bully mediums with their extra firepower on top of speed.

Basically it feels like 90% of tech tree tanks are just there to be food for the German super heavies, overpowered premiums, lights and tier 9s

Yeah the caernarvon has awful dpm

WoT blitz is better than WoT PC imho because no arty and +/- 1 mm.

I can only comment on the T69. I love this tank, especially since they buffed its gun handling. I was ranked high in it while grinding it, which is a testament to its lack of popularity. It's outclassed by many of its peers, but I still found it fun and rewarding to play.

The British tier 8s are all pretty difficult to play due to their low alpha and niche armor profiles. It's not till tier 9 that they get larger alpha guns with the help of HESH and HEP (save for the Charioteer).

After getting it fully upgraded im finding it somewhat playable because the dpm is actually passable but because it has below average alpha for a tier 6 medium it takes 3 shots for it to be any advantage. It just seems like you give up everything to be moderately better when you catch somebody out for an extremely long time.

yeah i quite like the t69 actually. It's a huge downgrade from the t71 but compared to other things in its tier its solid enough. I honestly can't imagine playing a pershing where you have the same alpha but can only shoot every 7 seconds.

I think its fair to say the Cent I is just straight up bad though. I've got dark purple wn8 in it and am ranked 28th in the last 90 days or something but i win 10% less than my global. It's expected damage values are basically the same as tier 7 mediums.

I like the Pershing fine; its reasonably mobile, has good gun depression, and a large mantlet. It's probably more flexible than the T69, though it's a bit power creeped now.

I want to say the FV301 is just a better option using the same gun, but I have no experience with the Centurion 1.

Tier 8 is filled with cro-magnon apes, lacking opposable thumbs and prefrontal cortexes.  Never seen so many zeros on green as when I  play tier 8.  3,000k damage in my Chimera and I still lose.

I'm sure its fine but low damage output really ruins a tank for me unless it has absolutely insane armour to make up for it

but yeah i got the fv301 now and its lovely. You just take a centurian 1 and get rid of the problems of it being huge, fat slow and low camo and then significantly better dpm and the only tradeo ff is turret armour which is good but not great.

Mediums are worthless across all tiers because of “balance”.

I own every tier X except the brand new ones because I’m too lazy to spend my free exp.

T69 has 300 more dpm. It's a good amount, but not too much. I used to love pershing a few years back, but haven't pulled it out and dusted it off in a while. If T69 plays anything like T71, it should be an ok tank. Overall from the stats, it appears that T69 is the "better" tank, but the Pershing holds its own in the categories it's worse in. Although Pershing has more butt armor, while T69 doesn't. They could both be HE splashed in rear, but the Pershing could stop a T69 He, while T69 can't stop a Pershing. If they brawled, it's be a close fight IMO.

Tier 8 is a struggle when you first start but it gets okay over time.

true honestly it seems so weird that they give light tanks much better firepower than mediums for trivial armour

and the burst makes it worth more. Really liking it honestly. It plays nothing like a t71. Longer to dump the clip for a pretty similar result in relation to HP pools and its not fast.

But you sit in the middle and shoot people who don't shoot back and the bar is so low for a tier 8 medium it does quite well anyway

Bad is t32. Cry me a river while I grind it. Tanks you listed are all good, if not semi decent.

The tanks before T32 are really great tanks, and T32 is an awesome hulldown tank.

Yeah, you won't be able to sit in the open too much. I've played against T69s and Pershing, and imo, the pershing players held better up.

The only reason to play the Centurion is to get to the Centurion 7/1.
