If we were to describe World of Tanks Blitz in just a few words, we'd say, "intense tank mayhem". Well, strap yourself in, commander, and get ready for a wild ride. We've prepared a brand-new mode for you with fast and furious tank mayhem!

 

Take part in Skirmish and battle on small, compact maps where you'll always be at the point of the attack! There's not much time to think and plan.. Just act quickly, decisively, and effectively as possible!

I suppose it's an interesting gimmick but I think heavies will be pretty dominant on the smaller maps. Thoughts?

Are the hills steeper? That would make things harder for your tanks with bad gun depression.

I'm thinking Meds will be the way to go, something with good turret traverse like the Panzer Mutz.  The heavies will be more easily surrounded on the half sized maps.

what Ronaldus said.  I personally think something with decent DPM and a tough turret would be able to just farm and make the enemy be forced to push in and dislodge them.  TD's would be torn apart instantly unless you have great armor or skill.  And the T49 as shown would just be HE spammed if we are being honest.  Heavies and meds will be the way to go, hands down.

I wonder if they could make some sort of tutorial for teamwork using this mod?

I think some of the OP heavies will dominate and of course if team play is lacking ( akin tons of pub teams ), the team that is one tank down early on ... 

 

Question also is:

Is this a no Win-Rate grind mode, where we will we see tons of people using this as another die trying method of grinding xp?

This will be interesting. 

 

The encounter game mode does get somewhat repetitive when you've been around for as long as I (and some other regular former here) have. 

 

Kudos to Wargaming for freshening things up. I, for one, greatly appreciate them.

 

@Ribble Is there any possibility of the Standard game mode being added?

i hope overlords can hear this request 

 

New modes are good for game, devs trying and improving an old dynamic of 7v7

At first I wanted to say - "instead of bigger maps they going backwards"

but this simplifies the structure, rarely we get those battles of thinking thru tactics so just fighting on your instinct is being tested.\

Blitz is far from that chess match now, its more and more arcade and whoever has good instinctual decision gets the win.

I'm slightly biased, cause i'm a heavy guy(the tank, not weight). While that's true, some heavies will perform well. Especially since the maps are smaller, so you're team can defend your rear better(less room to flank). Good open field anglers like E 75 should do well.

What will the mm limitations be here?  3 light tanks on one side will surely get runover vs 3 heavies?

 

or these are truly random?

I think this game mode will not see much grinding. Less tanks = less experience.

Get rid of your provisions and Consumables, Select a premium tank, Then Yolo and do a little damage, Die, And collect +20K Credits in under a minute.........  Quick quit game and repeat.

 It does not affect your win rate or military honor.

 Just saying........ If you need credits.......... WG finally made it A little easier to do.

Less map space = less strategy = less dynamic.

 

It got boring quick.
