Clearly the daily server reboot is the first suspect in the quest to understand the recent jump in packet loss, terrible lag and unexplainable spikes in ping. The game has become unplayable due to these issues even with the best internet connection.

It is hard to believe that in this age we are playing a game that appears to be using dial-up, for lack of a better excuse for such pitiful online gameplay quality.

Yeah it's been pretty bad especially yesterday, had a constant 500 ping MINIMUM with anywhere from 46% to 94% loss, it calmed down later that night, like *really* late at night (10pm-1am Midwestern USA) but I still see jumps too the low 200's currently. 'Gets me shook sometimes.... especially nearing the end of a battle, I almost lost a COD against an e75 in my Type 59 because of it.....

I've had literally no problems with lag or packet loss whatsoever since update 7.0's release :P

It’s surprising that they designed the server reboots to occur during peak hours, and not during the mid watch/graveyard shift

It’s horrible, I’ve changed server locations and this make no difference, checked my router and no difference, the excuses of its us not WG need to stop.

Too bad this wasn’t a description in the App Store, “awesome game when it works but expect lag and watch your tank bounce around while we do what we need to with our servers”.

cute...

PING has been in 90-100 range, packet loss between 19%-29%.

The trouble ticket responses are along the lines of “I see you have some [chatter about ISP]. You should talk to your ISP about your ISP problems.” And then thirty minutes later their major packet loss problems evaporate. The irritating thing is it is plain as day on the ping plotter chart runs that the packet loss is occurring on their hop, and they intentionally misinterpret max ping as average ping.

They told me “I see your ping jumps to 130 ms on the first hop.” No, my phone doesn’t have 130 ms lag talking to my WiFi router. That was literally the first ping in the test that runs long on every hop. The average, over the 30 minute chart they request, is 5 ms.

Then you left a useless comment. Why?

Are you suggesting that there is no problem with the game?

42 ms ping

0 packet loss

pingplotter has been running all day

I am not seeing any issue on my route - from northern New England - into Chicago.

Same/similar issue here in norcal.  Been having amazing ping and zero latency for weeks, then today it's through the roof. Totally unplayable.  I've logged for now, tired of racking up losses.  For the record, I am getting <600 Mbps down on my connection.

30% packet loss is INSANELY high, and making the game unplayable for many I would imagine.  Hopefully they are monitoring and attempting to right this sinking ship...

Yeah, game has been unplayable all day here in the Pacific Northwest.  25%-40% packet loss no matter what.  Ping plot shows it clearly at the WG server, not the route there.

Plenty of folks posting the same on their Discord channel.  To silence ...

I'm getting horrible ping and packet loss as well, when I normally don't get any.  I wonder if the server reboots aren't the cause, but an attempt to fix another problem.

Next to unplayable earlier this evening. The stutter, the flash quick movement, then reverse...freeze...

Strob light mode sucks!!

WG, fix your product.

Peace.

My first battle last night is a tier ix/x. Right out of the gate I was 50 ping 45% packet loss and drove right into the rocks. Sent over chat “holy packet loss Batman”. Hit the top of the center hill to spot and ping hits 500 as packet loss steadys at 30%. Then I freeze. Ping spikes at 1000, recovers and I’m dead. Think I get one shot off.

so as I’m running PingPlotter I get a notfication in our public chat on discord saying I was just in the live stream. I post my ping plot and say “and this is what I was dealing with.”

I doubt the server restarts are the culprit. They’ve been doing those at 5am since blitz started.

Not a fan of Strob Mode either. I live 3 hours from Chicago into Michigan.

This game blows. Crap teams. Ghost rounds. Now crap ping/packet loss/lag for what? I fight my hardest sometimes and my biggest obstacle is still this game and it's 'series of tubes' excuses.

Real quick, what other game blames its poor quality on 'Chicago'? What a joke.
