Hello all,

 

Recently World of Tanks Blitz has been acting up on my iMac. It takes 5 minutes to open, and when I enter a battle it takes around a minute and a half to load up. I also get lag spikes, and since it takes so long to get active in a battle I usually lose, do zero damage, and my teammates hate on me for playing on a computer.My computer exceeds all the requirements for running max graphics, so any tips on how to make it perform better? The computer I am on has 4 other users on it, but even when they are all logged out it makes no difference.

 

And if you were going to say "go play on mobile" or "get a gaming pc" it's best you don't respond.

That is really strange, What are the specs on your iMac, I have a 2010 iMac and it runs everything just fine, though occasionally I will get a black screen if I overheat the computer. though I have not played on the iMac since the most recent update. You could try downloading it from a different vendor- like Steam or the App Store (which ever you didn't use)

Step 1: Turn it off and on again.

Step 2: Delete and reinstall.

Step 3: Update everything you can update.

Step 4: Bring it to a professional because you don't know what you're doing and are probably gonna [edited]it up if you keep trying to fix it past that.

How much RAM and storage space have you? Try reinstalling.

Which model imac? with how much RAM? 

How much empty drive space do you have? 

If the drive space is low, odd things start happening. 

 

 

Log in as you.

Quit all Programs 

Reboot the system.

Then open WOTB.

Thanks everyone. Since I'm no tech guru, I've tried basic things. I found that shutting it down every day really helps, as well as coaching my family to log out of their account when they are done really helps with performance. As for storage, my 2019 iMac has used up only around 1/3 of it's 1TB hard drive, and it exceeds all the requirements for graphics and performance despite being no gaming PC. And maybe hitting it with a hammer also helps (not really).

Yes. Anyone with a brain would not buy a macbook.

I've always been a Mac user, I find it works better for me.  And read the post, it's an iMac which has a lot more processing power and is better for gaming than a normal MacBook.

 

Maybe sometime I might get a gaming PC, but that's a big fat if.
