So I just got WOTB on the Switch yesterday. I haven't tried it yet so I was wondering what are people opinions on WOTB on the Switch.

No chat as in In battle or as in you can't chat at all?

The lack of battle chat and "sos" buttons is greatly annoying, but overall I've been enjoying it. Took me a while to fully switch over, but the preformance is similar to my phone with larger controls. CoDing is pretty difficult though and turning can be a nightmare at times.

I've found load times, framerate, etc to be exceptionally bad on the Switch. I even bought a brand new MicroSD card just for the game and it still sucked. 

 

Which sucks, bc that was going to resolve my controller complaints, but it didn't. Oh yeah and as others have mentioned, no chat functionality...

I've played WOTB on every platform it has been released for (Android, iOS, macOS, Windows Store, Steam, Switch), and out of all, it seems the experience is the worst on the Switch. 

 

I play hooked up to my TV, with a Pro Controller.

 

• There's very few players that play on Switch, so sometimes you can have up to 10+ minute waits for games, unless you uncheck the play with others on the same control mode options, which seems to put you at a disadvantage due to the following: 
• Generally, the framerates are terrible (as others have noted). The experience just feels laggy overall, and it's not like you can adjust the graphics settings, since the graphics settings are presumably fixed for the same console. 
• There's no in-game chat or SOS buttons, so it's hard to communicate with others. 
• Aiming is not great and it's a lot more difficult than swiping on your screen. Again, also feels laggy.

I'm a WoTB Switch player, and honestly, the game works just fine. The controls are honestly fairly intuitive once you get used to them. The one major downside is no battle chat

they need to enable an inverted axis on stick or allow d pad for steering, fast tabks are near impossible to reverse straight.

I use the switch 99.9% of the time and love it, lack of toxic chat doesn't bother me

I agree it needs inverted axis and some limited chat, but its the only way I let my kids play Blitz. (they have been stuck on tier 3 for 2 months now)

I prefer playing it in a hybrid tablet mode, I use the left joystick and I aim and fire using touch.  Also they give you a T2 medium and 1000 gold in the store for free.

That is fairly similar to how I play it on the switch, except I use the right joystick to aim, but I use the touchscreen to swap ammo types because it is awkward to do it with the current control schemes, which brings me to the other downside: you are unable to swap around the controls besides the basic layout, no fine-tuning of what button does what
