Pretty sure the Honeymoon follows the Golden Rule of the whole "5k or less players matched with 5k or less players".  Depends on the Server Pop at the time.  I have noticed of late if I play on one of the 3 servers (only used to be 2 shards right?) and the pop is 3k or less, no honeymoon, and I get a crap ton of 2k or less battle players.  I just won't play anymore unless the server is 3k+...

As for the T49...buddy we all know that is special beast that MM and RNG hate.  I only spam HE in that thing unless I am right behind someone to use a HEAT round..which in that case...why not use HE anyways..right?

Another strange facet is that after the update the number of players being handled and shuffled by the mm for insertion into a battle in consistently over 200, where it used to rarely reach that kind of number.
Cru, someone mentioned that “they” were loosening the mom’s game format restrictions when the Swedish tanks were rolled out because of the bottleneck the strv-42 was causing or something. Lately there are still battles with four heavies which suggests to me that whatever changes to the mm may have been made in the name of Swedish expediency may still be in place.
Why are there
1) dozens of tankers sitting in each tier waiting to be matched for a game and
2) people not getting honeymoon periods?
My hypothesis is that mm is still somewhat relaxed, but I’m confused as to why, with relaxed parameters, it’s having a HARDER time shuffling everyone into games than before.

Just got the Tortoise and first 3 games were bottom tier. It wasnt pretty.

There seems to be another change in MM: it seems to be more relaxed regarding balancing the tank classes. For a long time, each team would have similar numbers of tanks of the same class. However since 7.4 I’ve seen a number of times when one team would have 2 meds/lights while the other would have none.

The honeymoon rule had a pretty high priority so you would have to sit in a queue for a long time (in minutes) before MM would decide to put you in a brand new tank as the lower tier. Now it just tosses you as the lower tier within seconds. It is gone for sure

Yes, I'd say the honeymoon match making is history.

I've played several games in new or newer tanks this week and didn't get it at all.

This has to be a new development.

They just changed it.

You can have +/-1 of a class. 
  So if for example your team has 1 med and 1 light but 3 heavy and 2 TD, red could have 0 Lights or Meds and 4 heavy and 3 TD. 
Honestly I wish they would scrap the whole class matching - it makes games rather stale and further enforces the META, it would be much more dynamic without class matching.

I don’t recall lights and meds treated separately. That would be something flagged in my mind on some maps. Like Mines. This is the reason I actually started noticing that: I tend to play a Scorp in ratings to make credits and flanking meds /lights is something I always watch. Lately it started happening that I would see a couple of unopposed meds/lights. I don’t recall that before 7.4.

I’ve seen it since 7.2.  Admittedly I play tier X meds in rated and play mostly Meds/Lights or faster heaviums so it doesn’t bother me as much.

My only loss in 8 battles with the AT 2 was a first battle tier 6 match where I was last green standing. At Mines.

 

Was in the middle of the day, plenty of peeps on, and I survived the following 7 top tier wins.
