Is there any good tanks good for ratings out there or no?

Ratings are just regular battles with a different Match Maker.  So anything you do well in a regular battle would be good for raitings.

I’ve noticed a strong lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?

No, it is not. This problem will solve itself with time. Many players have several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, so they don’t have enough Spare Parts for the entire vehicle fleet. But you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

Droodles started this rumor that auto loaders give you a better rating than normal loaders.

I think it was just a coincidence. Also, his example was his AMX 13 57, which is one of the tanks he does good in. So it may just be that he thought auto loaders gave you more points but in reality he was just doing good in a tank he likes.

Spam the most broken tank you have over and over. Emil 1 comes to mind, I know a few 40%ers who got 5k rating just because of the absurd amount of times they played it.

Obj 252U, Action X, 130PM, Skorp. Really any tank that can do well regardless of circumstances.

Progetto 46, Pantera, M6A2E1 EXP, Tiger II, T34, all those worked well for me.

Bad players blame MM.

Good players blame bad players.

Great players blame themselves.

The meta in ratings battles is a bit different than in regular battles. In regular battles you see everything, and teams are more often diverse, than in rating battles. There tends to be more armor and less mobility on Ratings teams. Lots of heavies, plenty of Chimeras and P. 46's. Lights are some of the most rare, along with lower alpha TD's.

If you can deal with heavy-armor/big-alpha meta, you'll do well. For some people that means also running heavy armor or big alpha. For other people, that means running something that exploits the weaknesses of slow heavies and long reload TD's. I've been enjoying running the T49, for example, hitting flanks and rears and flying all over the field to help wherever I'm needed--and there are few fast tanks on the field to try and stop me.

Ratings is deeply competitive, particularly in the upper half of the leagues. There you find lots of people playing as thoughtfully and carefully as they know how with their very best tanks. So I'd recommend you bring the tanks you feel most comfortable going up against the meta in. Ratings offers so much fun competition and an awesome chance for everyone to improve their skills against other players of a similar skill level. It's hard for me not to grow as a player when I play ratings.

It's not the RNG, the MM, the diameter of your shell, the thickness of your armor, or the number of premium rounds you carry that counts ultimately; it's the courage in your heart, the calmness in your mind, the hope and faith you have in your team, and the way you use what's at your disposal that truly determines Victory.

When I take the AT15 into ratings I get quite a bit of feedback from my team

LOL, same thing happens to me when I run some light tanks. By the end of the battle, though, they may understand why we brought the tanks we did, eh? :medal: :)

^^^this.

Also, if you want to have a decent chance at a higher league, start early in the month and be sure to calibrate high. So whatever your strongest tank is in T7-T10, that's what you should play for those ten battles.

the tanks that are best for free camo mode are the ones you want a free camo for.

ignoring the camo, I'd consider running the annihilator - it's just so balanced

Indeed, it's such a lovely bit of balance. It is unfaltering, impartial perfect, balanced justice at her finest.

:D If it's gonna be OP, we might as well make the best of it and have fun making jokes about it, right? *Not that I'm unsympathetic toward those (including myself) who have to face the Annihilator, it's just that I'd rather fight an OP monster while laughing than crying. :teethhappy:

To Tengen's point - one of the major draws of making it to the top two leagues is the camo. To do so, one must have played at least 50 games in that particular tier, not necessarily any particular tank.

So a player could hypothetically play ten games in an Annihilator, Smasher, etc to calibrate high and as long as by the end of the month they've played the most games in whatever tank they wanted the camo, that's the tank that would get it.

I should also note that I tried calibrating last month while using the Switch and got dropped from four games bc my Switch sucks, doing zero damage in those games. I ended up calibrating in the low 2000s and it took me the entire month to get to Diamond league bc I'm no unicum. Point being - make sure you do your best to calibrate high if you want a good chance at the higher leagues.

I dont think that its autoloaders that do better, but bottom tier, when I rollout in my t29, black prince, or smasher, and get top damage + a win, I've gotten 50+ ratings points before

For tier 8, ISU-152 and Object 252u are my picks though any heavy with a good reputation works. Tier 10, I had the most success in the Object 268.

Do not have an average tier of 6-8 if you want to cry.

I think he's right in a incidental way. Same reason works for the Annhilator. The more hits you land = the more module damage you inflict = more XP beyond just damage. Plus the XP bonus of a cleanup kill.

I think he was also hot on the Emil I being a great tank for ratings battles.
