How would I play this tank with pretty much no depression angles?

1. I would advise you to NOT play this tank to begin with. It's not very good in general.

 

2. When dealing with tanks that have low gun depression, you should not be going over hills to get shots on enemies, unless you're not being targeted for certain. You will want to instead situate yourself in some way that allows you to both maintain cover and get your gun level. You should try relocating if you can't manage this.

Step one: Look at the stats

Step two: say f*ck this and find another tank to play

Step three: press battle and enjoy

The Vindicator is the only tank I recommend go town.

 

But in fairness it's only so they are not in my way.

This tank requires level ground to fight properly due to low gun depression and the placement of armor, which is a double layered plate at the front. This is because if you try backing up a hill to compensate for lack of guns depression, you expose the weak roof armor, and vice versa.

 

even when fighting on level ground, you have the driver periscope hole in the scoop space armor portion that can be penned through as well as the cupola. This means you need to hide both of these weak spots to bounce shell.

 

furthermore, the sides of the tank are HE-able if I remember, and the only HE proof part of the tank is the scoop, which also stops HEAT shells due to spaced armoring layout

I play second line support/ super aggressive when top tier and when bottom tier I just find a bush to sit in fire at spotted targets then relocate. It basically plays like the SU-152 with spaced armour on the front. This tank is more of you either glue with it or you don't type of tank.
