so, I just researched FV4005 and am grinding credits to get it. I don’t know what to grind next though.
some contenders are:
FV215b
FV4202
FV215b (183)
T110E3
Vickers Light
T57 Heavy
any suggestions are appreciated

Tier X is a great tier; I can't think of any tank I would say is not worth trying out. I will note to you that the Death Star has the lowest average winrate in tier X, and has for many updates now. You don't play the King of the Derpasaurs to win though lol
I will suggest the Vickers Light, followed by T110E3 and FV215b. These will all offer very unique experiences compared to the FV4005. I don't think you'd be mad about any of them in particular.
I love the ones that need it most.

I would go Vickers L, but I feel I already have a teir x light, the Sheridan. I think I’ll go FV215b because I don’t have much experience with heavy tanks.

I agree with Mainframe that it's hard to go wrong with any tier 10, in the sense that they all seem good and can be fun for the right people.
That said, I also have more specific method, that I've been very satisfied using so far, for picking my next tier tens. I start by studying and picking out a tier 10 that I'm really interested in driving. I also consider, though, how prepared I currently am to drive that vehicle, and if I think I could use some more practice with the type of skills required to succeed with my chosen tier 10, I look for ways to develop those skills. Sometimes, your next dream tier 10 tank's line will train you how to play that tier 10 along the way. (Such, I found, to be very much the case with my grind of the T110E4 line). Other times, you'll may want to go out and practice with other tanks outside your future tier 10 tank's line to gain the necessary expertise. (I just recently realized that my some of my younger days playing the derpy, paper TD's at low tiers (especially the Alecto, back when it had 210 AP and 300 HE alpha) was some of the very best training I could have done to learn to excel with the FV215b 183.)
So the best advice I can give, based on my own experience, is, when choosing your next tier 10, consider what tank most gets you excited and what tank you feel like you're prepared well to drive (although you can always train more as you grind the line if you feel like you lack the sort of experience you think would be helpful).

It's not the RNG, the MM, the diameter of your shell, the thickness of your armor, or the number of premium rounds you carry that counts ultimately; it's the courage in your heart, the calmness in your mind, the hope and faith you have in your team, and the way you use what's at your disposal that truly determines Victory.

Git gud first. I started the game with 1.2k WN8 and 49% winrate and I still struggled mightily in tier ten.

Do not have an average tier of 6-8 if you want to cry.

What would have been an appropriate comment, albeit toxic, if the question was, which tank will I do best in or which tank will I like the most? When you can’t realize you answered a question that was never asked. Try reading the post before insulting folks Morphie.
