Tiers 9 and 10 are full of lumbering, brutish TD's with big guns and low camo values  But one of my complaints of the top tiers is a lack of diversity. Where is the tier 9 or 10 version of the E25?

 

How about bringing us some small profile, sneaky high ROF tanks?

 

Heck even the light tank lines at 10 tend to be pretty large.

 

Am I complaining about nothing? Or do others feel like the pinnacle tiers of the game have some really boring options for game play?

The Foch and the Conway are about as quick as they get at tier 9, for tier 10 it’s the same: Foch 155 and the FV4005.

I figured it was like that to help keep tier X balanced.  I would love to see a sneaky, quick TD - maybe lower the alpha to help maintain the balance?

I agree tier 10 tanks are kinda big, camo is not that great, maneuverability is sorta bad besides on the Leopard 1, sheridan and Vickers CR. I would like a small fast good camo tier 9-10 tank.

Agreed but they are still cumbersome giants, speed is not the same as nimble.

That’s why I want wg to add the Japanese TDs. Not the hori’s, there is another Japanese TD line Japan made. They could be somewhat nimble. They have light tank chassis with a big fat turret. I made a post about it a while ago

Ya there is a bit of a lack of lightly armoires TDs. I play the grille pretty aggressive, but even then, it’s a pretty large vehicle.


Maybe......we could see......Swedish tank destroyers....

are those the ones with 30 mm of armor but it's sloped so aggressively that its effective armor is over 200 mm

Ya they have ridiculous angles. But their gun cannot traverse independently, so when aiming, it goes into “firing mode,” where the tank is slower, so it can maintain accuracy when aiming.

Could pull a funky move and make the kanonenpazer (poor spelling Ik) a tier 9 instead of 8. Just increase the camo and pen numbers (maybe a tiny bit of alpha) and give it enough hp to take a few more shots.

 

Ik it’s not a tier ten or tech tree, but I think that’d be amazing fun. I know it’s already probably in the first stages of testing, but that same play style we don’t have in high tiers. Something similar would be pretty neat.

I doubt that such a mechanic can be easily implemented in game tho

 Think they said that mechanic will never work on mobile. Which is why should just take some of that creative liberty they've been using on their fantasy tanks and give the swedes gun depression normally.

Which is B S. They just lack the vision to make it happen. There are several ways they could make the siege mode work on mobile. 1) Adding another button to the screen would be pretty simple. 2) Making it engage and disengage automatically on a timer from whenever you start and stop driving could also work. Or to even further simplify it if they for some reason couldn’t do either of those things: 3) Give them hydropneumatic suspension that functions automatically and perpetually as you drive the tank. So basically, they are just always in siege mode, but without the handicap of the reduced mobility that that entails in WOT PC. The Swedish TDs need to be added. A whole line of real tanks from a real country which served in an era that lines up perfectly with the tanks we already have should under no circumstances be left out. It’s just crazy to me that they would try frigging guided missiles and a bunch of reskinned tanks before cool, truly unique, real tanks like these.

 

Come on WG. Make it happen. You can do it. Just put your minds to it.

Many, many matches I have spotted 6 or all 7 reds in my Grille.  That tank can lay down some good speed once up and running.  It's my favorite spotting tank, by far.

I agree with Chariot_Solace. I am not entirely sure why it would be difficult to add a button for siege mode
