I love that tank. They make it a little more alluring with the 16k gold box being available. I picked it up a few months ago with my last 16k gold box.

121B and Chieftain are very different tanks, and I think both are quite good when I want to play them. Both are available at regular intervals with reasonable costs (in context). Which one suits your playstyle better?  That's way more important than any of our opinions. Look at youtube videos, look at peoples' stats in the tanks, reflect and compare with your own performance in similar tanks.

My usual credit grinder for the past year or so has been the amx 30 proto. It combines almost all the good things other mediums have (gun depression, turret armor, ok pen, quick ref, speeeeeed).

 

More recently, I've been enjoying the Chimera as well, mostly for the gun. Looking for maybe something along the lines of either.

I prefer the 121 over the B with the 121’s recent buffs.   Don’t get me wrong i like the 121B and wish I had the camo (it’s one of the few camos that makes it really hard for me to determine hit markers), but it’s not unique enough for me to recommend especially if you are waiting for tanks like the chieftain, which is quite unique.

The high pen HE the Chieftain carries can be absolutely devastating to lightly armored targets (or parts of them). The high rolls will be more satisfying in that tank, much like the Chimera. Since you have the Proto I'd vote Chieftain but it's your money. Some people really get their pants in a twist about the commander's hatch but it's not that hard to succeed in the tank.

Both tanks are competitive and good tank for pubbies.  
  Neither is a good tournament tank.  
 

Both have Legendary camo’s that play with in game pen skin.

Which is easier to use? Or closer to Pay2Win ?

Neither is ‘easy to use’ 

   The MK6 is kind of a E5 with no HEAT or super consumables, but cheap HESH 

 

The 121B is sort of like a pre nerf Obj 140, it’s got a great turret and great Hull armor. 

   It gets 350 alpha on its 105mm while the 62 and 140 get 310 on their 100mm’s

I was always under the assumption that it carried over all the good from the T54 and added an excellent gun to top it off... At least that's what it looks like on paper...

It's been so long since I played this game that I thought this thread was whether or not OP should grind the 215B or get the Chieftain. I literally forgot the difference between the 121B and 215B.

If they'd have given it a different skin, made it Israeli, and called it the "Tiran 5," I'd be all over it.

 

Don't give a hoot about a fake "121B" though.  F China.
