Even the T-62A and 140 dont really have the gun depression to properly work a ridgeline. 

Wz121 and 140 have 6°

T62a has 7°

The e50m"s turret is just a easy pen when ppl switch to prammo- apart from the gun mantlet.

The turret of soviet and chinese meds are only the tiny copulas and turrett cheeks, which is a lot more resilient to prammo.

Thats not far from the e50m's 8

6 degrees doesn’t really work a ridge line.  You need to artificially create depression unless a red is dumb enough to peak further.  
 Even 8 can be tough to work a ridge of the red team is smart.   
 

Keep in mind your best method for ANY tank that can’t just poke and ignore fire (pretty much nothing in game, except the Mle 54, Kran and Super Conqueror in certain situations) is to bait reds to peak so larger guns can bonk it, or you can track it so it’s effectively high centered and no able to bring it’s gun to bear.  
 

Like any tank, you need to play to your strengths and try to maximize the red weaknesses.   
   The E 50 M lost some luster with the heavy HP buffs, but it’s still a very effective pubbie battle tank.

The simple solution is just to play the e50m on regular wot. Support, Hybrid, Light, TD type tanks will never perform as well nor play their intended roles due to map size restrictions and fundamental map design choices made in the past. You might perform better if you alter your playstyle a bit, I never liked it myself but most people say they do well in it.
