I mean, reaching it is a bit hard, so there are experienced players in it, right?
Is it harder than tier 8?

Tier 9 and 10 have better tank balance than tiers 7 and 8, so in that way it's a little easier and little harder. An example of this is there are no Smashers or 252Us in tier 10. The quality of the players you'll encounter is the same as lower tiers in that your teammates are probably terrible. You may run into more 60% platoons but it's not much different than tier 8.

Most players' winrates drop a bit in tier 10 relative to their other tiers so be prepared for that until you figure out how the gameplay differs. Pay attention to the nuances in gameplay and don't sit still when exposed. You will die very fast.

My winrate in tier X is higher than both tier 8 and 9. Why? A few reasons:

1. I gold my crew at tier X and at no other tier. There is no stock grind at tier X as a result.

2. All of the tier X tanks I have are very good. The T110E3, Sheridan, and T57 Heavy are all great performers in public matches.

3. I am always top tier. There are no tier XI tanks to compete with, so my tank is always comparable or better than my competition.

4. The tier is probably the best balanced in the whole game, while still maintaining some great variety.

The playerbase is not that different at tier X, you'll still get unicums and nubs failing in perfect harmony, although I think the impact of a skilled player is very pronounced at the tier.

I mostly play 8 but 10 seems to be played much more conservatively with a lot more players using cover to the max possible.

Tier 10 is easier once you get the feel for your tanks and maps.

Must. Have. 60%. Winrate. Under. 0.5%. Platoon. Rate!!! (30 day)

You have to be able to perceive how a battle will unfold by reading the tank line ups and the map, and how you should react based on your tank. Takes a lot of repetition

You generally find more high skill opponents, (although there is no shortage of noobs here too), who know how to play their tanks to their strengths and since the balance is extremely well maintained you will find that you can play much more consistently (whether that is consistently good or bad).

Indeed. Very, VERY unforgiving to even the slightest mistake...

If you don't have premium account, it is VERY expensive to play tier X

It's easy.  Just hit battle button, same as you would tier 6

Nah, it's not that hard. You can either grind (which is hard) or have deep enough pockets to buy a tier X premium.

Yes. You pay a lot more for your mistakes. Also I've found a lot of good players hang out mostly in the higher tiers, so...

No, it’s easy to play.
Hard to win, but EZ to play.
At least that’s what all the reds say, after they win.

WG gives you a lot of tools these days that make the so-called "coveted" Tier 10 a far closer reach than before. Getting there is really only a matter of time and maybe a sprinkle of persistence.

Bless the folks for putting in the effort to get there, but a majority are ill prepared for it. It's not the paramount fantasy people expect; it is the costliest and most unforgiving tier to play in.

But missiles weren't even that overpowered...

100% agree. I need to supplement my tier 10 pub play with credits from tournaments when I’m not running premium account.
