How do you even play the tank?

Gun is very good

Mobility is decent 

However, the armour profile is the biggest joke I've seen in a while. The pike nose makes your armour pretty much useless in every encounter, even when sidecraping at extreme angles.

How do u utilize the armoir profile?

Run it like a heavium and play hull down when you can’t.

I've only used mine in ratings battles and well, I didn't live very long in any of them  and averaged a tad under 1000 damage.

I just played this thing and it's a monster. Your turret is very solid so it's good for baiting shots in hulldown positions and it excels at peekaboom like Ddbro said.

 

This is a game I played in it a couple weeks ago. I didn't get shot at too much but I think the endgame against Tort, K-91, and Obj. 704 shows a good use of its armor and gun depression angles. https://www.youtube....h?v=yLxKDoPdv-k

As others have said, it's a heavium. Imo, the IS-8 is better in every department except alpha, and I love that tank, but the WZ is still amazing. Go to the medium side, and trade shots. No medium in the game can out-alpha you, and you have more HP to boot. Plus, if you're hull-down, you have a decent chance of blocking damage too.

I was very frustrated with this tank during the grind, but after replaying it recently for an anniversary mission, it was actually pretty nice. You have to be very patient with the gun handling- it’s troll, but if you let the aim settle more than you think you need to, it’s quite punchy. Definitely don’t frontline it like a sturdier heavy; it needs to work angles and flanks. It is also not super great when isolated because of the lack of armor and dpm and is susceptible to being pushed on aggressively. If you can keep the reds where you want them at a distance and trade effectively, it rips through them with that 130mm.
